Is it possible that he is planning to get electronic in-person vote machines hacked, and that is one reason why he doesn't want paper mail-in ballots? Of course the difficulty of scaring voters with ICE comes into play with mail-in ballots as well.

You show ID when you get your driver's license and then you check the box to vote. It's easy and convenient and legitimate. The current thing in the WH, who lives in FL, does mail-in voting to NY. If it works for Melania, it works for us peons.

The PO is no longer post-marking your mail at the local post office. Ballots are in distinctive envelopes. The nationwide PO policy could be to hold all ballots at the central hub & postmark them after the election date. Then you can try to prove you mailed it on time. Assume nothing they won’t do.

Utah had universal vote by mail for over a decade without complaints from the Republican supermajority in the state... Until Trump and MAGA started lying about the security and fraud of vote by mail.
