Les Wexner's attorney during the House Oversight Committee deposition on Epstein: "I will fucking kill you if you answer another question with more than five words."

Telling the FT to 'fuck off' is starting beef with Kendrick Lamar for people who don't know who Kendrick or what beef is.

Please share this widely. There have been 13 peer-reviewed critiques of the Cass Review, to the extent that academia regards it as pseudoscience, but so far all have been subject to organised censorship by mainstream media. This is the first time one has broken through. Oz Guardian only still.

Worked hard to get this into Guardian Oz & big props to @fiercemum.bsky.social for setting it up & Melissa Davey for publishing it. She will doubtless get loads of hassle from transphobes for it, but it needs to be out there. Puberty Blocker bans harm trans kids, no-one should pretend they don’t.

Get yourself a defence lawyer who's willing to force a cop to explain, on the record, what Sheetz is

Karen Agnifilo: Is that you, photographing the sandwich. Wasser: I was asked to photograph the bar code on the sandwich and on the break and sent to Sergeant Burns. KFA: Sheetz, what is it? Wasser: Gas station convenience store, made to order food

Imagine the reaction to allegations that Corbyn had made hissing gas noises to Jewish kids as a schoolboy - and then if he had responded to those allegations by shouting 'Bernard Manning!' at the journalists

The radio silence about Farage from people who are usually supremely vocal about antisemitism is so so telling.

Today on #TDoR I'm going to commemorate those we've lost with a donation to make life a little better for those still here. Rest well, ZoeP. You deserved better.

There’s a concept in transport planning called “induced traffic”, which is essentially the evil twin of “if you build it, they will come”. What cars did to your city, AI will do to your brain.

jonn.substack.comWhat cars did to your city, AI will do to your brainOnce again, I rage against the dying of the light. Also this week: some maps to show that England is not concreting the countryside; and the longest conveyor belt in the world.

It is unconscionable and immoral for the world to allow this horror to take place.  2.2 million people are trapped with no food, water, aid, medicine, and baby formula.  This genocide must end and we must stop being complicit in the mass slaughter of babies and civilians.

Trump plans to move Palestinians to Libya. This is not only ethnic cleansing, but it acts as a way to free up land for Israeli real estate developers and by choosing Libya he’s openly attacking Europe with the goal of creating a mass migration wave of refugees that will flee.

Can already tell that the rest of the year is going to be overflowing with pieces titled something like HOW STARMER CAN SAVE HIS PREMIERSHIP where the main suggestion is the adoption of a policy the author has been pushing for the best part of a decade

“Starmer needs to start governing. Labour need to stop triangulating and start running the country. They are wasting the term they were given, worrying about a second one. They can do a lot of good, if they stop being terrified of losing power in 2029 and start using the power they have in 2025.”

i cannot stress enough that you can just talk to trans people and it will absolutely improve any and all writing you do on anti-fascism currently. and there's a lot that needs to be written currently!!!!!!

cornish person girl@gemma.transwrites.world

for any actual journalists who want to know how to approach trans issues - a very important issue to cover if you're on any kind of anti-fascist beat right now - but don't know how to approach it and don't want to hurt us... talk to us! It is really that easy! we are right here hanging out!!!

As a life-long gamer with grey hairs in his beard now, I'm constantly amazed at the false discourse that ganes have become more expensive. MarioKart N64 was roughly £100 at release, adjusted for inflation. Cheap games is a false cultural memory. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

A very old Soviet joke, from an especially dark time: Foxes are fleeing the USSR in droves. Q: Why are you running away? Fox: The Soviets passed a new law that they’re going to arrest all camels. Q: But you’re foxes! Fox: Yeah, why don’t *you* try proving to the NKVD that you’re not a camel.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

You don’t really have to frame the kidnapping, abuse, and humiliation of people as important and serious because it means the same could potentially be done to citizens. It can just be important and serious that people are being kidnapped, abused, and humiliated.
