Average in every conceivable way. I will auto-like your dog and pet pics. Plus also other things probably, IDK, I’m tired. Music and art please. AI is garbage and I won’t use or support it. #YEG
The UCP might make Edmonton pay up to $170M to rip out its own bike lanes.
I've heard reports that the UCP has been asking for costs of full network removals.
City numbers put that at $150-170M
This is the same gov't that just spent $130M on a glorified opinion poll.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

Good morning all.
I was inspired by this lovely Redshank for today's #BirdOfTheDay theme, #OnOneLeg - birds seen balancing on one leg! 🧡 📷
Alt: Is #SpottySpeckled - any bird with spotted or speckled plumage.
Wishing you all a Happy Monday and great new week ahead 🕊️

🧵Yesterday, British Columbia elected a Conservative majority government that ran on a platform of tax cuts and accelerating the pillaging of nature, or what the party calls “natural resources exploitation.” They also ran on attacking Indigenous sovereignty and trans rights.
Next up in my occasional series: "Can it swim?"
BATS!🦇🏊
As video captured by Rob Mackereth (@mack2526 on IG) in the Lake District, England shows, bats can indeed swim.
In fact, they're pretty good little swimmers.
But there's an asterisk.
Also, standard disclaimer: do not handle downed bats!
"This technology disrupts humanities-trained, largely Democratic voters, and makes their economic power less, and increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, voters."
Also, how come none of these newly disempowered cat ladies want to give us the children we need
just saw this absolutely cracked ad during the michigan game about how thanks to aoc and ilhan omar, white people can't show their faces in public anymore
Everyone's fucked and has no money. It's really disheartening seeing so many incredible comedians and bands outright begging us to buy tickets to their gigs. These people should be selling out but... no one has any fucking money.

Our billionaire psychopaths are skimming dystopian sci-fi for business ideas. Ugly people with ugly lives who want to create an ugly world. Destroy all beauty and test how inhumane and awful they can be. Maybe kitten suicide bombers will be their next big idea.
Society must reject these assholes.
Albertans should be furious about this. Danielle Smith:
1) Lowered the threshold for signatures on a petition
2) Extended the duration in which they could be collected
3) Continues to pretend the people who signed the Forever Canada petition wanted a referendum
Shameless.
The Guardian's homepage right now...
1. "UK approves Jackdaw gasfield in North Sea"
2. World must cut emissions by 18% in four years ‘to find our way back’, UN says
Out on the town having the time of my life with the other Ohio Republican political candidates who thought the ad buy was a good idea. They’re all just out of frame, laughing too.
"I want to make it clear tonight that for as long as I am premier I will honor this mandate from Albertans & will not be holding another mandate on this issue".
As the province funds a multi million dollar legal battle against the First Nations fighting the separatist question...
ok non-tech ppl might be hearing some scary things about "critical vulnerabilities" involving certificates. the main thing you need to know, without getting down in the weeds about it, is that the fourth seal is broken. lo, a rider approacheth upon a pale steed, and his name is Death
Albertans deserve real solutions to the crises they face, not scapegoating that divides us and fuels prejudice. Right now, all Canadians have an opportunity to reject this and say: we stand with migrants facing the brunt of this cynical, negative politics.
Yep yep this. I'm not celebrating over here. Sure, we've postponed (another) separatist referendum bid (they're not going to give up, because the people funding them and pulling their strings are not), but. *Confirmation* that Alberta is mostly bigot by volume? Not fun.
