uawire.orgNorwegian politician admits to delivering prohibited drones to UkrainePeter Frølich, a member of Norway's Conservative Party, played a role in the illegal delivery of drones equipped with thermal cameras to Ukraine in 2023, according to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, which cited the news agencies TT and NTB. The Norwegian outlet VG also reported on the incident. Frølich, who represents the Conservative Party of Norway, has been involved for several years with Fritt Ukraina (Free Ukraine), an organization he founded with a group of volunteers. The organization supplies drones to the Ukrainian military. In his book If War Breaks Out, Frølich describes several trips to Ukraine, including a 2023 episode in which he knowingly broke the law to help deliver drones. Frølich spoke about these actions on Wednesday during the program Politisk kvarter on Norway's NRK television channel. At the time, Norwegian customs officials halted the shipment because its export was banned under legislation dating back to the 1950s. Frølich then contacted the Norwegian government directly, warning that delays could cost Ukrainian soldiers their lives. Despite existing restrictions, the organization ultimately managed to get the drones to Ukraine. The news reports did not specify how the drones crossed the border. Later, Fritt Ukraina said the government would expedite a review of export regulations. The rules were subsequently amended to allow Norwegian citizens to legally send civilian drones to Ukraine. Frølich has said he does not regret breaking the law. Norway has provided Ukraine with military and civilian assistance since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. In October this year, the Norwegian government announced an additional 750 million Norwegian kroner (about $78.8 million) for aid to the Ukrainian population and reconstruction efforts. The funds are intended for salaries for teachers and healthcare workers, social benefits, and infrastructure repair.

Ukraine says strikes on Russian plants disrupt missile production #Ukraine

uawire.orgUkraine says strikes on Russian plants disrupt missile productionUkrainian strikes have dealt significant damage to several key Russian industrial plants, complicating the production of cruise and ballistic missiles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . On the previous day, Ukrainian forces launched missile strikes on the Energiya plant in Yelets, Lipetsk region—the only Russian facility that makes batteries for planning and guidance modules used in aerial bombs. The General Staff said the attack caused a major fire and inflicted substantial damage on the workshop where batteries for missiles and aerial bombs are produced. The plant reportedly also manufactures batteries for sea-launched missiles and Iskander-M missile complexes. Military officials said that a strike on the Proton-Electrotex plant in Russia’s Oryol region on October 23 destroyed its main microchip production workshop, damaged servers, and affected other factory buildings. On the same day, Ukrainian defenders struck a drone storage and launch site near Russian-occupied Donetsk. The military said they damaged a launch rail and several buildings used to prepare and equip Russian loitering munitions, often referred to as "kamikaze drones." A day later, Ukrainian forces attacked the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Russia’s Samara region, a facility producing synthetic rubber. Two butyl rubber manufacturing units, a technological pipeline, and a rectification installation were reported damaged in the strikes. The Ukrainian military said these strikes on the three plants are impeding Russia’s ability to produce solid rocket fuel, batteries, and components for guided aerial bombs, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. On the day of reporting, Ukrainian drones struck the Voronezhsintezkauchuk plant, which manufactures thermoplastic elastomers and synthetic rubber. Explosions were also heard a day earlier at the Avisma plant, described as the world’s largest titanium producer.

Ehkä joku media @hs.fi voisi tiedustella oliko kyseessä selvä uhka arvio? Ja jos vastaavia arvioita tehdään esimerkiksi yritysten toiminnasta joilla on historia rikkomisen suhteen, esim, pitäisikö tietyille hakku alueille asettaa ennakoivasti poliisi valvomaan toimintaa?
