Amazing how many Labour MPs do not understand this quite basic point.

Christabel Cooper@christabelcoops.bsky.social

Really worth noting that even in Red Wall constituencies which backed Leave, most *Labour* voters back rejoining the EU. Over 90% of Labour considerers back rejoin - opposition to EU membership is mainly coming from non-Labour voters in these seats. Was on Times Radio yesterday making this point.

Doesn’t matter how you voted if you were front and centre in a Brexit government, actively overseeing the shrinking of our economy, our influence and our opportunities, while you rolled around in the trough. We’ll be disregarding everything you now say, thanks.

Apols to Man Utd fans. I realise you feel as much for your team as we all do for ours. However, its objectively funny the way they have pissed away the biggest resources and brand in British football for about 15 years. Serially inept. Kind of fascinated by it tbh.

That was wonderful cricket. I know it suits my narrative but match hardened 50 over specialists brought up in a strong domestic game dont lose the last two matches. Brook's captaincy found wanting. Curran kept on far too long.

This ODI shows how compelling low scoring gsmes of cricket can be. Hardly a six this innings, and much more gripping for that. Mind that six was a good 'un.

Watching the ODI. Strikes me that English players rwrey play 50 over games. Mental...imagine another sport where the World Cup format is basically ignored domestically.

Rveryone involved in the Kyle Microsoft CoPilot advert should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Currently airing in every ad break of Pakistan v England.

That #snluk opening was really good. It's been fun if patchy from the start, but getting to be reallyhigh quality. King of the Black Country Fouracres stand out, as always.

Hang on. Bloody Farage was on the jungle programme for multiple episodes. Unlike Farage, Burnham comes across as authentic and not an act. His relatability has the RW press and media seriously rattled. Great stuff.

My personal view is that anyone found using "holibobs" should be immediately stripped of their UK nationality and made stateless.

While The Telegraph has deemed 'picky bits' "the most revolting phrase in the English language", more Britons have a positive view of the term (43%) than a negative one (25%), with 31% neutral yougov.com/en-gb/articl...

All other parties and UK Government departments take note.

I don't know how many lines have to be crossed before the remaining democratic West realises this fucking maniac cannot be permitted the power he's accumulated. We have Musk. Or we have established international security norms. We can't have both.

The ability to articulate with confidence is absolutely fundamental to personal progression in fields dominated by the privately educated. No wonder the right is opposed to this initiative.

You just despair don’t you?

It's legitimate for the EU, the UK, Canada and others to support their Ukrainian ally. If Musk is going to (in effect) assist Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine's allies should sanction Starlink, X and Tesla. At the very least, governments (and people) should stop using his fucking site already.

(((Tendar)))@tendar.bsky.social

Many Starlink terminals in Ukraine are financed by Poland. Its Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has put Elon Musk on notice regarding the evolving situation.

Okay. I.posted after match one that the formation is wrong for the players we have. Still convinced that's right. 3412. Would also be tempted to recall Neave from loan if i was Newcastle. How is he not getting game time given Armstrong's travails? #wwfc

Hmmm… who to believe… Andy Burnham or the compulsive liar who got sacked twice for lying, lied to Parliament, lied to The Queen, cheated on two wives and ignored the Ministerial Code. Tricky one.

I am reading Head North by Andy Burnham and Steve Rotheram. Its positive, constructive and cogent. I don't agree with all of it but clear the new PM has a vision and one that it positive. Contrast with the negativity of Farage today. Lqbour arent perfect but under Burnham they are worth supporting.

I watched the City game for the soap opera. Think that's enough PL for me this season. Genuinely quite pleased in hindsight that Wolves were relegated. No desire to see well, whatever it is we are seeing, a mirage, a series of exhibitions, multimillonaires in denial.

What a weird world we live in - Ukraine hits a data centre deep in Russia - Irish twitter users see racist posts about IPAS centres in Offaly fall off a cliff

And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

Given a) the formation and b) high proportion of flair players, i always was worried #wwfc would be flat track bullies in the Championship. Defeats at West Ham and now Boro makes me think i might be right.

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

@trentbridge.co.uk Ashes ballot winner here. Twice ive attempted to access site via link emailed. 1st time i was kicked out as soon as i got into site. 2nd time the site displayed fireworks, beer festival and picnic tickets but no Ashes tickets. Please advise.

If IHT is taxing twice, then so is VAT, so is pretty much every non-income tax... it's a ridiculous argument from the right and wish people would point this out more...

A small but noticeable drop in quality in the 4th series of Ted Lasso. Somehow the final ep managed to tie strands together a la Series 3. A really good ending. Enough now.

Idiocy from Badenoch on inheritance tax. We need people to be spending money, not hoarding it. There are too many people living in houses totally inappropriate for them in old age...sometimes asset rich cash poor and claiming pension credit. We should incentivise downsizing. Absolutely hopeless.
