Was fährt in so einen Manager? Ist das eigentlich ok, daß ein Manager einer deutschen Firma Wahlkampf für Trump macht? Was sagen die Aktionäre dazu?

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

The wait is over… Anti-Fascist Economics is out now! 🌹🌾 Writing a book is a very lonely journey, and yet no one can do it alone. I’m so, so grateful to my family and friends who have had my back throughout this process and for all the guidance from my editors across three countries and my agency.

Hey, how will you create revenue (assuming there would be demand) if you can't deploy your chips? And if you don't have revenue, how would you pay back your debt that you took to finance the chips?

Ed Zitron@edzitron.com

Business Insider confirms it: Amazon has warehouses of GPUs that can’t be installed, and is buying them so far in advance that a supply chain team said they “didn’t have a clear forecasted path” to installing them. www.businessinsider.com/amazon-220-b...

Very impressive. El-Sayed finds the right tone and the right argument and all of it built into a coherent story from beginning to end. To do this on the fly unprepared is hugely impressive. This men would be a monster in a discussion (and he is right ofc).

This is a very interesting thread. I think there is quite comprehensive research available that working hours per person peaked at the industrial revolution which was obviously also peak exploitation. Medieval farmers generally had less working hours.

It's bizarre to me how many people in the comments here seem to think that automation is going to translate into more freedom for the working class. When has that ever panned out? How much leisure time do you have, after years of these "innovations"? We are Charlie Brown trying to kick the football

The reason why working hours went down since the late 19th century is probably not automation but the fact that people organized. The capitalistic system in general will use automation and increase productivity not for better working conditions but for higher profit extraction.
