Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

NEW: A bird flu outbreak has been raging uncontrolled on a Utah mink farm for two months. Flu experts fear it could spark a devastating human pandemic. But officials haven’t acted — instead prioritizing the financial interests of the fur trade.

If there is anything to be preserved, a Dem Congress is not only going to have to come down on Musk, but on the Silicon Valley and Manhattan cartels of money and favors that prop up Musk. I won't hold my breath, but it is a structural issue now after being ignored since 2008.

Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.

I'm driving the Toyota Rav4 Woodland PHEV this week and after going more than 56 miles on a charge, I stopped to try out the 3 newest DC chargers in my area. There are now 7 DC charging locations within 2 miles of my house, 1 EA, 2 RED-E, 2 Chargepoint, Ford and Tesla with 26 ports

The two chargers at Gene Butman Ford aren't the speediest at 120-kW each (60-kW per cable if both are being used) but they are the cheapest at $0.35/kWh. EA is the fastest at up to 350-kW but also more expensive and Tesla is in between on speed, but also pricey at up to $0.70/kWh

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

I don't give a damn if the tech and AI experts are talking on X, I will not go there. I killed my account completely back in 2023

On X, users have circulated nonconsenual AI videos created by Grok of a woman they think is Jane Doe. They continue to spread her name. People have praised X for staying relevant for AI and tech conversation. But it also is the main vector for a doxing. That is X. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/16/n...

i’ve been writing about crypto for a while now, but this new addition to the $TRUMP memecoin website fine print may be the most blatant “lol you suckers are our exit liquidity” i’ve seen so far

like, it’s okay to lampoon owners and call tech annoying, but not call out this brand’s owner for the very real harm he’s doing on a global stage?

No, apparently we let ourselves become Nazis and refuse to do anything to stop it.

"Jon Ossoff, my advice to him is, if you start calling your political opponents Nazis, maybe it's time to shut up. That's just not what we do here in this country." -- David Brooks, this evening. Remember, Brooks still gets very handsomely rewarded by the fossilized media for saying shit like this
