Celebrating Star Wars Video Games

Who knows how much I'll maintain this account. But here's my collection of Star Wars games, anyway.

Only thing I don’t like about Galactic Racer — it’s keeping me from finishing Zero Company. Then I play Zero Company and it’s keeping me from Galactic Racer. What a time for Star Wars games.

It was enormously fun to serve as lead writer on Star Wars: Galactic Racer alongside Duncan. It’s a very ambitious project and Fuse did an amazing job! (Fortunately, Sebulba returned and we got to help put him in a video game)

Really pleased to finally say that Chris Remo and I were the lead writers on Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The team at Fuse are the absolute best in their field, and it really shows. It was a great project to work on and is an even better game to play. Sebulba forever

I'm delighted to announce that I was a lead writer & narrative consultant on Star Wars: Galactic Racer for a year. Super proud of my teammates, honored to be trusted with the opportunity--and so excited that people are already connecting with the game. Jump in today!!

Nintendo Power #42, November 1992 - 'Super Star Wars' cover.

Maybe you weren’t actually lied to 27 years ago, @victorlucas.bsky.social .

I guess they heard I got Monopoly two days early 😞

If you see this, you're legally obligated to quote with your favorite Star Wars character.

the x-men '97 intro but it's turgles that i traced with my mouse in my spare time

Still one left: UPYH8LZLWNLB7 Claim at audible.com/acx-promo Is it yours now?

We're talking about $80 games today, huh? It's steep to be sure, but let's not forget...it's not exactly new! Images courtesy of the Aug/Sept 97 issue of the Electronics Boutique catalog in @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social's library! library.gamehistory.org/repositories... But hold on, we're not done!

There are 5 FREE unredeemed Audible codes up for grabs for “X-Wings, Lightsabers, and #ScorpionVader: Celebrating 40 Years of Star Wars Video Games” the audiobook. First come, first served! (They may only work in the U.S.— not entirely sure.) c-bake.com/FreeAudioboo... youtu.be/GdEskg5yxNY?...

The algorithm associates #ScorpionVader with a different type of “Star Wars gaming.”

Neat.

Bad Game Hall of Famer, indeed…

Amazing.

Available for FREE through tomorrow! ScorpionVader.com Happy #StarWarsDay! #MayTheFourthBeWithYou youtu.be/GdEskg5yxNY?...

Quick 2005 LucasArts marketing department memory for your #StarWarsDay: The Ep3 game was scheduled for May 5. In a meeting, someone joked, “Move it up—May the FOURTH be with you!” We laughed, shrugged, kept May 5. After all, who would take a pun like that seriously marketing message? Heh.

As I understand it, this is based on page hits, so some recency bias is to be expected. But even with that in mind…who’s looking up stuff on Commander these days? (It sunset in 2020!)

Hoping for a #StarWarsDay miracle and Amazon posts the audiobook by #MayTheFourth. But the Kindle book itself? FREE through #RevengeOfTheFifth! ScorpionVader.com

And it’s official: #StarWars Galactic Racer is out October 6th. New trailer too! youtu.be/GvDXZ1kzEO4?...

This last one might be my favorite—it’s both subtle and respectful to both gaming and Star Wars, indirectly referencing The Force Unleashed. Thanks, Boyhood. youtu.be/DUCsYpqIQqo?...

The latest @pcgamer.com magazine is out now, with world exclusive access to Star Wars Zero Company, the exciting new XCOM-style squad strategy game from Bit Reactor. Plus, WH40K: Dark Heresy, Darkhaven, Warhounds, Esoteric Ebb, Tyr, Ghost Recon, and much more. tinyurl.com/dkhatvax

I've written more Boba Fett dialogue than anyone else.

Kyle!!!

Just me having Super Return of the Jedi flashbacks?

🕹️ Happy 33rd anniversary to Star Wars: X-Wing! 🕹️ X-Wing was one of the first games to feature 3D polygon graphics for spaceships and the first non-adventure game to use the iMUSE music system. 💾 X-Wing was originally released on floppy disks in February 1993! 💾

Star Wars: The Old Republic (BioWare/EA/LucasArts) opened 14 years ago today and continues to be regularly updated.

Still pinching ourselves. Two of our founders at The Game Awards, celebrating the announcement of STAR WARS: Galactic Racer ™.

I love that Ando Prime is featured in the Galactic Racer trailer -- a callback to the original Racer. It was also seen in hologram form in Episode II. youtu.be/z1r9IzVBE9A?...

I’ll play it. 😀

I didn’t even know this existed!

A fun fact about this guy in Force Unleashed 2 is that originally he was named “the Orlock” after Nosferatu, but after we had already recorded and animated, somebody in legal decided that we might get sued by the Murnau estate.

Just about every SKU of Star Wars Outlaws is discounted for Prime Day. This one's probably your best deal, if you don't care much about the DLC. amzn.to/3GyYao4 (affiliate link)

Not having him and/or Black Sun in Outlaws kinda baffles me.

Battlefront II for GBA was featured in this episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine on October 9, 2006, about 11 months after its release. Just one problem -- it never came out for GBA. You also never burned any villages (right?). So much wrong here in just 12 seconds!

"Bear"? Or Ewok?! www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgsy... This looks super fun either way.

June 14 1997, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire debuted on the N64 in Japan! It is unique among Nintendo 64 games for using a digitized orchestral soundtrack (from the excellent Joel McNeely composition) instead of MIDI-sequenced synthesis, which was the original plan!
