Eating honeycomb toffee that a candymaking genius made using Tupelo honey and it tastes beautiful, that's what I can say about it, it tastes like constantly changing beauty
And I find myself missing that wonderful honey shop tucked into a basement storefront just outside Harvard Square near Zoe's
They happily let you sample honey from around the world and every discovery was delightful
atchafalaya honey from louisiana, powerful bright and round and sweet
the dark dark spruce honey made from fir trees in the middle east
and always little straws of clover honey to take with you
My grandfather kept bees in the back of our farm and I loved putting on the mask and helping him with the smoker bellows and getting stung once or twice but that was just part of the job, and you always got a little bit of honey right off the comb for your troubles and it was glorious
If anybody was at risk of taking the comments by the utility companies seriously, I would encourage you to remember the incident where Eversource stalled so long on moving a pole that they actually just painted the bike lane around it back in 2018.

We watched the first half of the 1944 Henry V again last night for St Crispin's and it is an incredible achievement
The production starts in the Globe and Larry's camera wanders on and offstage as the prologue commences and the groundlings clamor for Falstaff and then one by one the artifice falls
We move from a theater stage to a ship in a studio-lit soundstage with a cast of hundreds singing in unison
Now we are on a beach with real sand and rocks and water; a painted cyclocrama in the background represents the breach
And before you know it you're on a field and here comes the cavalry
sonya found some red white and blue candy corn which we agreed looked like rocket pops and they ended up tasting like rocket pops in a blue raspberry way and it's uncanny
the legend goes there was but one technicolor camera in england during world war II. laurence olivier gets it for his henry V so naturally he mounts it on a truck and drives it through a cavalry charge, and for an encore he stages st. crispin's impeccably

every time sonya and I see a british film from around 1943-1944 in black and white we remark that it probably would've looked great in color, only larry had the camera
So, unhappy 106th anniversary, Alexander, King of Greece, dead at just 27 on this day in 1920 from a macaque bite that went septic, leading—what with one thing and another—to a *lot* of other deaths, the birth of modern Turkey, and Prince Philip marrying the woman who would be Queen Elizabeth II...
CAPITOL: Hello, US Government, may I take your order
7-11: Uh yeah hi it's me 7-11, and my friend wanted to know if, like, there's a law keeping someone from maybe like playing the same song in their store over and over and over again
CAPITOL: No, I don't think there is such a law
7-11: AWESOME
The Urbz is home to my favourite family dynamic in any piece of media ever: where whenever your mother wanted something, she'd not contact you directly, no, she'd phone up Will.I.Am from Black Eyed Peas and have him relay the info to you.
That game was bonkers.
On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.
At my first office job some guy printed out almost 100 pages of wood grain in full color and taped it up all over his cubicle so that it looked like wood and after that we weren’t allowed to print in color any more lol
once I had a set of house neighbors who went all out decorating our front yard for Halloween with an enormous assortment of handmade decorations, including a tombstone which read "DRACULA SLEAPS" and I have been thinking about that for nearly thirty years now

"Look how they massacred my boy" is an iconic line spoken by Vito Corleone (played by Marlon Brando) in the 1972 crime film The Godfather. He says it while grieving over the bullet-riddled body of his oldest son, Sonny Corleone and asks the mortician to make him look presentable for his mother.
