Seriously getting fed up with Chowns et al. She gets a massive wage and she's there to represent the Green party who passed a motion at conference and here she is undermining it. It's a pity she couldn't be sent over to Gaza or Hebron at the moment to see for herself how Zionist racism plays out.

Everyone can get a discount railcard except those in their 30s and 40s. It's time for that to change. By introducing a millennial railcard for 31-49 year olds, we can encourage use of public transport, reduce our emissions, and put money back in people's pockets. 👉 greens.scot/news/greens-...

The achievement of Serbian students overthrowing Aleksandar Vučić can't be overstated. In 2024, they began protesting. In 2025, they transformed a protest movement into civil dissidence. In 2026, they became a political party — and two months later, crushed a corrupt state-entrenched authoritarian.

Are these wealth creators the same ones that ‘create’ wealth at everyone else’s expense and then move that wealth offshore or are they the ones that are already living abroad and using the UK as a cash cow ? None of it benefits the UK or the people. It just benefits politicians and their ‘donors’

A reminder that the “trans lobby” is just trans people going about their lives, and the “fight” being referred to is JK Rowling using her money, power and influence to endorse policy that is killing trans people. I’m amazed she could move to type a new essay with the layers of blood on her hands.

University of Nottingham, right now, is cutting 560 jobs. Do we need to rebrand universities as very large, very clean, land-based oil rigs to get government support?

Leo Hickman@leohickman.carbonbrief.org

From the govt's press release: "The developer estimates that Jackdaw will create 27 new direct jobs and safeguard 273 existing jobs that would otherwise be lost." Odd that so much is made about this being good for jobs. Your nearest out-of-town supermarket likely generates more jobs.

The NHS's revised guidance on single-sex wards is cruel, unworkable and LGBTIQA+ Greens calls on Labour to withdraw it and reform the Equality Act.

Absolutely this 👇 I've been appalled by the so-called 'green grandees' this last week or so. The Green party is member-led and democratic the last thing we want to see is a top-down approach.

Cllr Ash Ahmed (he/him)@ashjahmed.bsky.social

The Labour Party lost its heart and soul precisely because it no longer reflected ordinary people, it no longer reflected its thousands of members that built it. We mustn't let that happen to the Green Party. We are hope for too many people in a hopeless world.

This is a very very worrying situation. Journalists are there to report what is happening. This is all happening under a Labour government with a massive majority and look what they're doing with it.

The idea the Greens were plausibly ever going to be invited to participate in the next govt by the Labour Party *under any circumstances* is levels of motivated reasoning & self-bullshitting we need to build a new scale to quantify

Did you know? In 1975 the United Nations general assembly passed a resolution declaring "zionism is a form of racism & racial discrimination" (the resolution was revoked in 1991 because Israel made this a condition of its participation in peace talks)

Zack is a great leader. He will be an even harder working MP He led the greens from 30k to 250k members + doubled polling. Yet the media still call him a failure. Why? he represents a threat to their establishment and as a gayJew he fights homophobia and antisemitism daily. I stand with Zack 💚

Similarly it's clarifying to see a depressingly large number of left wingers agree that it was silly and unwise to point out a genocidal ethnonationalist ideology currently carrying out a genocide is racist. To see them cravenly continue to prize Zionists hurt feelings over Palestinian lives.

Spookably UnAwake@lamentablyawake.bsky.social

If nothing else the Zionism is Racism motion sure has caused a lot of "I'm very critical of Netanyahu and oppose the genocide" types to break cover and admit they're committed to a Jewish supremacist state in Palestine.

If you want a better world we are going to need to be much tougher than I'm seeing from lots of people today. Regardless of what particular motions are passed, they will come for us, and a few negative headlines is just the appetiser. So prepare yourself for the fight. The world is at stake.

I do find myself wondering where the world might be right now if even a -fraction- of the outrage at what is basically a party line argument with little material power had been levelled at the fact of hundreds of thousands being bombed, snipered, starved and maimed by massive material power.

Let's put it this way: if you haven't spent every breathing moment of the last three years fighting to stop the slaughter, your pious tut-tutting about a powerless resolution is exactly what it looks like.
