Today my wife and I are going to take a one time trip (for about 11 blocks) in a Waymo. I hate the tech and prefer paying a real human if taking a ride (Taxi, Uber, etc.). Also feel it is something I want to experience one time. 🤪

I asked OpenAI+Anthropic if they agree; never heard back

This was a pass Pat would have zipped in there and been a highlight reel play his first 3-4 seasons. I think all the weird angle fastballs he used to throw did something and he has to play more traditional QB now.

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

Get their ass

I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.

Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called. An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.

You can get your hopes up now. A tremendous comeback by Lula to defeat fascism. He does it again. Best news in a very long time!
