WEDNESDAY: We're creating worlds we don't understand and remembering the tower rotation as we go into the history and puzzles of MYST, the shockingly successful indie game from Cyan. It's maybe almost as good as The 7th Guest
In which A.J. reads an excerpt from the novel he wrote in 4th grade where it is revealed that he knew next to nothing about geography and even less about how time works.
TWOAPW #262: QUEEN FOR A DAY was an evil show that exploited women's suffering to get to the top of the ratings. But at least it was entertaining, right? Wrong!
@slowpuke.bsky.social joined us to investigate this relic. The ur-text of reality tv
TWOAPW #260: CHILDREN OF THE CONNIE (feat. @nocartridge.bsky.social)
In 2001, Odyssey was writing stories about cults and espionage as James Dobson was urging his followers not to donate to 9/11 victims. In 2026, odyssey leaves the airwaves with an episode about burning down your local book shop
This man is a monster. He seeks out women survivors because he hates them. And he hates them because he hates himself. He has harassed me and other women survivors many times over the years. It must end. He should never have a job anywhere.
Brian really knocked it out of the park with the edit on this one and I gave Josh a reason to whip out his uncanny David Hayter impression in service of an interstitial that has fans raving: "that's not at all what happens in Metal Gear Solid" and "somebody should make A.J. play Metal Gear Solid."
TWOAPW #259 CHARLIE KIRK: AFTERLIFE
Charlie Kirk's legacy is a cruel one. Those closest to him tried to sanitize and canonize it, and in doing so, helped create an astounding movement of dadaist mockery.
THIS WEDNESDAY: It's been a year and change since Charlie Kirk was publicly assassinated. We're going to dive into what happened between then and now, and how he, along with generative AI, has left a permanent mark on our culture that could have never been predicted.
Hard to express just how much Spring Awakening altered my brain chemistry when I was a teenager. Nobody could channel the mania and depression of angst quite like Sheik. His tunes felt like an exposed nerve: raw, vulnerable, and deeply, deeply felt. What a loss.

TWOAPW #257: BANGERS OF MASH 3: UIJEONGBU DRIFT. Frank Burns leaves. Gary Burghoff leaves. But Ken Levine (no relation) and David Isaacs still have a show to write, and to keep it going, it has to change. What does it change into? Just listen and find out
As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
We got @hollisbeck.com back on the show to voice the interstitial for this one and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Go give it a listen to hear her incredible performance and also to hear us melt our brains contemplating the logistics of theatrical bike races.
TWOAPW #255: our 53rd installment of Whit's Endless Summer brings us to the impoverished Connelsville neighborhood of Oswald Heights. We learn that mini golf stardom isn't all it's cracked up to be, some people can't be trusted, and it's ok to tear down someone's home if you're Christian enough.
South of Midnight is 35% off for the first time on PS5, until tomorrow!
We’re indie again, and every purchase directly supports Compulsion and our next project.❤️
Me filling my car in GTAVI and I turn to an npc and say, via voice chat AI transcription, “what are those clowns in Liberty City Congress doing, 5.87 a gallon?” The npc turns to me and says “have you used your DraftKings Presents Maximum Fun Tokens yet? I hear the casino downtown takes them.”
Ready for your Avengers Doomsday homework? Marvel has released a watchlist of 15 movies and TV shows you should watch before December 18 rolls around. https://bit.ly/3UmhwmS
Up in Maine for a spell to do a workshop of my play, "Heart of Duckness", with the good folks at @foxbrambleme.bsky.social . It's about the evils of colonialism, the patriarchy, and water fowl more broadly. If you're in the Portland area, would love to see ya there!
Been working on this radio drama for about five years now and I think this batch of episodes contains some of my favorite stuff I've ever written. Go give it a listen for some bears, some heartache, and my Irish accent which @gotitatguineys.bsky.social once referred to as "a solid 80% effort."
All the Odyssey interstitials from 2025, compiled into one handy video for your viewing/listening pleasure. It's got talking bears, haunted lodges, and some VERY in-depth discussions on the best ways to get a camel through the eye of a needle.

BOURDAIN (voiceover): I found myself surrounded by discarded objects. An empty soda can, a dead battery. Life becomes death. But death can become life. The simmering pot with its spicy aroma in front of me is proof.
BOURDAIN: What's in this dish?
ME: Pikmin
BOURDAIN: Pikmin. Oh man that's good.
@thefuzzymaskedman.bsky.social reads the EXTREMELY paranoid words of JD Vance.
If you like this, listen to our full episode on JD Vance's "Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith." Book sucks! Episode doesn't.
On the newest Workers' Lit @thefuzzymaskedman.bsky.social of the incredible @worstpossible.world podcast joins us to take on our VP's new nightmare of a memoir/2028 propaganda piece, "Communion: Finding My Way Back To Faith"
Together, we'll call him a fake Catholic and a real rotten piece of shit
JD's not going to be happy when he learns we're covering his new book...
Workers' Lit episode (ft. @thefuzzymaskedman.bsky.social of @worstpossible.world) on J.D. Vance's "Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith" drops Monday, August 3rd
Folks, it's Catholicism time.
WE ARE GOING LIVE IN A HALF HOUR. Watch Brian, Josh, and (eventually) A.J. as we suffer our way through the Xbox exclusive Shrek games. Catch us starting at 6pm ET, only at twitch.tv/twoapw!
Entry #3 in the tried and true Workers' Lit episode format of "Get @thefuzzymaskedman.bsky.social to yell at conservatives," which is a fun experience we all know and love.
TWOAPW #251: TADC
We got @rftb.bsky.social's own @aud.bsky.social and Dono to talk about something that produced very mixed reactions among all of us, from adoration to frustration.
truly thank you to everyone who has listened to one episode, let alone 200 (or i guess like 360 something if you include the bonus episodes), of this very very stupid show. it brings me great joy
QUORATORS EPISODE 200!!
In celebration of 200 episodes, we let Clare go nuts and find all of her own questions. She did a pretty good job, even

Cannot stress enough how much this translation unlocked the Odyssey for me. Deeply personal, epic while retaining all the things that make the original story so delightfully weird, the way she allows Odysseus to be both a deeply sympathetic figure and an irredeemable asshole. Go give it a read!
