14 detainees were loaded on today's ICE Air flight at MSP, the 95th of the year. Volunteer observers continue to document every flight; if you'd like to help cover our parking fees, we'd sure appreciate it: mn50501.org/donate

TurboTax and H&R Block spent $7 million lobbying the Trump administration to kill Direct File. Both companies donated to Trump's 2024 campaign and inauguration committees.

Americans paid a collective $23 billion more to file their 2025 taxes after Donald Trump shut down the free tax filing program Direct File last year.

So MTG's replacement will be elected before Armageddon, but not WI's Supreme Court judge. 😱

Cops are great

During the anti-ICE school walkouts in January, a group of students in Chandler were targeted by an armed agitator. Turns out it was Phoenix PD Sergeant Dusten Mullen. He admitted his plan was to try to get purposely assaulted so the teenager protesters would all get arrested (it didn’t work).

It’s day 97 of the ICE occupation of MN. As more folks venture back to the rhythms of daily life, we also know the occupation is not over. Together, we keep our neighbors safe, and the systems and relationships we’ve built sustain our community. Keep building community safety, together.

Friends, we still have some families who need rent assistance for March. If you’re able to donate, it’s so appreciated. A share also goes a long way. 🧊 is still very much in our communities and these families cannot safely leave their homes. Thank you!!

Families in Minnesota still need help, especially with rent assistance. If you can, please donate to one of our city’s hardest hit areas. www.gofundme.com/f/help-seaso...

Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones. Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting. Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.

Sam Levin@samtlevin.bsky.social

After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting. But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:

Um, I’ve never handled or shot a gun before, but I know for certain what NOT to do. And the officer just gave a great class on that here.

Minneapolis, MN - After FPS agents went into the hotel, shot teargas and kinetic munitions into the crowd assembled outside he wanted to know where the PD is to the press. I asked if he has a message for the community members that wanted out. No response. None to the mayor either.

Plenary pardon power + presidential immunity = what law?

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

For no reason that withstands any scrutiny, a bunch of masked goons, armed and directed by the federal government have been sicced upon a wonderful US city, with the principal effect of wantonly hurting its people, social life, and reputation. Every day of this is incomprehensible.

look what they’re doing to my city. apologies for the camerawork

As someone who lives on the South Minneapolis/Richfield border, I can confirm that EVERYTHING David wrote here is true. What's been hard to do is go to work and pretend everything is okay, all while you are worried about what is going on just outside. We're tired, but not giving up.

David Brauer@dbrauer.net

The great @usefulnoise.bsky.social made a request that we all write something about what life in Minnesota is like for folks who live elsewhere or might be outside our normal neighbothis-Bluesky footprint. So I went to cursed Facebook and wrote this. Maybe it will help you share your own thoughts.

Every hour, a new example of how they're definitely Keeping Us Safe

Minnesota Star Tribune@startribune.com

Reporter Louis Krauss saw this. An agent apparently dropped a flash grenade that was left with the pin still in it on Park Avenue after driving away in a squad car.

And even by doing this, families do not feel safe coming to school. I helped at a school yesterday and they still only had 39% of kids in attendance, forcing school to be closed the rest of the week while they transition to online learning.

Jon Collins@jcollins.bsky.social

People who aren't in Minnesota might not know that if you drive or walk past pretty much any school, there's going to be a group of people, parents and childless, standing guard to make sure the kids are safe from feds. It's pretty remarkable. And very disturbing. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

Note that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.

Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.

what this should make clear to everyone in this country is that it does not matter who you are, there's no "it could never happen to me" you can be a white woman who drives around with stuffed animals in her car, and they will still kill you in cold blood and call you a domestic terrorist

This post is unavailable.

Watching the video again, I just realized that the side window was down, so the agent at the door trying to open it was also reaching inside the vehicle and could have easily been shot by his own colleague. Those with actual law enforcement training would recognize how reckless this was.

The Trump Justice Department says it's still reviewing more than two million Epstein-related documents. Just 12,285 documents have been released so far. That makes up less than 1% of all the files. The deadline to release all the files was Dec. 19. Three-and-a-half weeks ago.

Minnesota, be on alert! So many ICE agents around the metro, including vehicles driving in our quiet little neighborhood. Grab your whistle and keep watch for our neighbors.
