Unfortunately there are people who care about trans people having rights who are not trans people themselves and I’m sure that the number will suddenly grow exponentially post election when candidates have lost and you’re looking for someone to blame that isn’t the candidates themselves

Eyeballing Jack Reacher right now. Big guy, obviously, but I don't think he sees me coming. As a henchman, this is the sort of moment that makes or breaks your career. I think I should go for it.

Wait'll the folks who are mad at Zuck for muzzling No Kings get wind of the Rohingya genocide.

and a reminder that these guys, to a man, have literally no idea what they are talking about. on any topic. they have no expertise in anything but scamming people.

Letting Will Stancil get away with saying "I'm not saying any particular poor person is lying, I'm saying hundreds of you are" with any sort of reputation left is why these guys are picking on this random person btw

A shit-eating little trick the soulless chart-kissers do when you say it shouldn't cost 10s or 100s of thousands to get sick or die or give birth in the US is to pretend to care about the labor of healthcare workers. They have doctors in other countries too but not blood sucking insurance middle-men

3) i don't think we should have a healthcare system where the difference between a 30k bill and a 500k bill depends upon whether you can argue with a billing department for a few years

1) 30k over 80 years might not move the needle that much, sure, in the same way missing a single stair likely won't fuck your shit up. but perhaps that number means something different when it happens all at once? 2) shut the fuck up you smug bald bitch. i hope a bird drops a turtle on your head.

So funny to respond to "hey why are you calling these people liars do you know what the system is like" with "Oh so I'M A FAG?!?" No dipshit, you're just an ignorant asshole mad you don't get to hold court over ever little stupid thought you have

If you have a 500k$ paperwork error & the Hospital refuses to fix it, & you don't have the money or systemic knowledge to hire a lawyer & fight it... Then yeah... You then have 500k$ in debt. That debt might be illegal, but if no one enforces the law, that illegality is just a theory.

you gotta be a huge asshole to see someone describe a three year nightmare trying to resolve a $500k medical bill and decide to repost and pick on them, comparing them to the president spreading racist lies about immigrants. Truly vulgar shit.

I'd suggest sneering "insane bullshit" at someone for feeling stressed out about having to handle hours on the phone over a half million dollar bill after dealing with a birth and NICU stay is why people can't stand you

Willie Dustice reposted

There's a genre of liberal corrections to people posting about their lives that goes like "Uh, that's bullshit 🙄. You didn't get put in prison for not being sufficiently respectful to a cop. You actually got put in *jail*, and then you were released, so it doesn't count."

why do you condemn his violence? i don't

Erik Loomis@erikloomis.bsky.social

And we can certainly condemn his violence. But let’s step back and remember just how horrible slavery was. On December 20, 1858, Brown, who had briefly returned to Kansas, led a party into Missouri to free slaves.

It is absolutely bananas that one of the most prominent anti-AI experts in America is talking like this. Talking to ChatGPT isn’t like doing heroin or downloading child porn. It will not hurt you and has no ethical valence. It will help you understand the nature of something that is now endemic.

Aaron Rodericks the man can block whoever he likes, but Aaron Rodericks the head of T&S for a pretty well-funded startup (please shut the fuck up about how much of a little guy you are) should probably not prevent large swathes of users from seeing posts that are official site policy

I know it's easy to fall into "Aella is a giant slut who probably has STDs" but I'd really like us to consider that the critique is actually "Aella and people like her earned her personhood in a fucked up microcosm of the Imperial core by turning a bunch of unwilling people into rapemeat"

Categories like “thinking” and “understanding” don’t merely describe the behavior of some object; they enroll it in a system of responsibilities. The trouble with extending these terms to AI agents is that we cannot hold those agents responsible, whereas we can hold their developers responsible.

Silicon Valley's damage becomes a lot easier to understand when you realize how much of their innovation involves the government not enforcing laws, or enforcing them too feebly for anyone to care

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

That's just fraud, my dude. Even if you use an AI agent. It's just fucking fraud.

As is so often the case, Stancil has concluded that if someone else is saying something that's incorrect, it follows that (1) that person is egregiously wrong, (2) that person is operating in bad faith, out of animus, or out of peer pressure, and (3) Stancil's opposing claim is obviously correct.
