Trump was briefed this was the riskiest US military operation since the Iraq invasion of 2003. He was told American lives would be lost. He was told Iranian missiles could overwhelm our air defenses. He proceeded anyway. No congressional authorization.

Trump just launched a war in Iran — without Congress and without a plan. As a 25-year vet who served in Iraq, I’ve seen how wars begin and how hard they are to end. Regime change from the air won’t work — but American troops will pay the price. This is not peace. It’s chaos.

We’re such a fucking sick, evil country. It’s the exact same playbook as Iraq and Afghanistan. This was always the end goal.
