People say this was forward thinking, which it was, but anime's own popularity is the reason this didn't last. As I recall, licensing stuff like Eva became so expensive they simply couldn't do it anymore. This really was almost entirely community funded.

I know that I am far from famous. I'm not even close to the most popular performer on Headless Blood Idol streams! That's fine. I have internal struggles about my musicianship and singing, but I have 1000% confidence in my lyrics. And it MYSTIFIES me how TERRIBLE mainstream pop lyrics often are. 🧵

(1/2) Over three years ago, an issue report was submitted to Fixel's 3DO ODE repository on GitHub due to "Oyaji Hunter Mahjong" crashing, but... even with a CD-R?! While we still don't know why pressed discs alone allegedly work fine, we have arrived at the light at the end of the tunnel 🙂

On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.

Oct. 15, 1992 (Thu) - The Sega CD is released into video game stores. It is a CD-ROM peripheral add-on for the Sega Genesis. It plays CD-based games and adds hardware functionality such as a faster CPU and a custom graphics chip for enhanced sprite scaling and rotation.
