I value others' expertise, & largely repost, to spread insightful analysis (and occasional memes😬) I can feel a bit like Cassandra – seeing the truth but surrounded by people buying into Russian psy-ops!😱Sigh. It's a bit dispiriting, so finding this community of smart, caring, people keeps me sane😍

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

The Ramaswamy campaign not only tried to capitalize on a child rape victim, they did it by using an old homeless woman who—while vile—is in no mental shape to adequately understand the stakes. And did they pay her? Either answer is bad.

This is why it's dangerous to give rich people so much power over our lives. Sometimes, they are appallingly ignorant. The Nazis added the word "socialist" to their name purely as propaganda to appeal more to workers. But the party--and Hitler--hated real socialists and communists.

When there’s finally an effort to hold these criminals accountable for the crimes they committed, we‘re going to see a lot of pundits wring their hands and say it’s politically motivated and insist we need to turn the page and look forward and a lot of other cliches that dumb assholes like to use.
