Would you rather, for the rest of your life: 1) Get $50 for every hot dog you eat (meat and bun) 2) Get $2 for every pushup you do

Definitely pushups. You're telling me I can make money working out for a few hours a day? That's all I'd ever do. Hell I'd be doing pushups every chance I get. If you did 50 pushups per hour for 2 hours and took 20 days off every year, you'd make $69,000.

Joey Chestnut could eat 76 in 10 minutes - that’s $3,800 in 10 minutes. The world record for pushups in 10 minutes is $348 - which is only $696. In human ability alone, you have almost a 5 to 1 advantage eating hot dogs.

I hate that it's the push-ups but it's the push-ups 300 pushups a day and I'm pulling in $219K annually for less than an hour* of work *once I get used to doing 300 a day

i'm not super into hot dogs but it also doesn't say it's replacing everything in my diet so I'd probably go hot dog. 1 or 2 hot dogs every time i need a little cash doesn't sound terrible. eat a few spaced out over a week and that's a fairly substantial chunk of change.

Hot dog. 20 hot dogs a month cost like $10 and that would cover my rent, and no one would be running up to me to scream that I'm eating hot dogs wrong and taking my money away

Is the hot dog not the much easier choice for everyone? And I say this as a young, somewhat fit guy. I can probably crush 4 hotdogs in a sitting. I won’t live forever but I’ll have cash and a belly like Hard Rock Nick

This question is harder than I thought it'd be the more I think about it. Pushups is the right way to go, but getting paid for downing hot dogs would be so satisfying. And has been noted you probably wouldn't live as long so you'd need less cash in the long run. Much to consider here.

I could get more money the hot dog way if I just ate nothing but hot dogs but I’d rather have a more varied diet and just do pushups every day.

Doing the math, You'd make about $110K a year eating six hot dogs a day, every day. You'd have to do 150 push ups every day to earn an equivalent amount. Which is a lot. But considering the time I'd save not working and the chance to get fitter I think push ups would be better.

"rest of your life" is funny here since the length of the life will likely vary wildly based on the choice taken I'd hope to do 2 since I'd rather live past 50 (currently 39)
