Great points. But Trump operates as if he believes himself to be a King, not an ordinary citizen. He seldom follows the rules of society, based on my observations of him allegedly pilfering from charities, committing felony bank fraud, and allegedly keeping classified documents, etc.

Not sure if it’s true or not, but I read somewhere that demolition doesn’t require planning permission, building does. No doubt this is something Trump has done many times in the past. The choice for the planning committee is “let me do what I want” or “stay with a pile of rubble”.

I believe that Trump made a tactical error in demolishing the East Wing of the White House to replace it with a monument to himself. His first move should instead have been to demolish the Capitol, to replace it with a large and elegant venue for performances by trained animal acts.

L. Grover on TikTok brought this up; I think it's a sharp observation. The secret Command Center/ Pres Underground Shelter is under the East Wing! I read that P. Roosevelt in 1942 expanded the East Wing exactly to conceal the construction of the PEOC. Isn't Trump secretly updating that shelter now?

I've read that the East Wing is traditionally used by presidents' spouses for their offices and staffs. It's obviously not being used by Melania as it seems she's barely set foot in the building in years. Is the message here that there is no place in the White House, or government, for women?

I agree it's not his house it is the citizens of the United States House and our Congress allowed him to do that. He needs to be arrested for vandalizing historical property. Desecrating something that does not belong to him is needed to be added to his list of crimes it is horrendous.
