WELKER: Why is the president setting trade policy based on a TV ad he doesn't like? BESSENT: This is a kind of propaganda against US citizens. It's psyops

Dear Republicans- your orange demi-god now hates your former god. I mean if he doesn’t respect Reagan don’t you feel like your whole life has been one big lie? It’s not too late to convert.

Why does Donald “set trade policy based on a TV ad”? Because he’s a thin-skinned baby-man with no impulse control. Donald Trump is mentally ill. That’s why. Better question is why does Speaker Mike Johnson & Senate Leader Thune let him do it?!

Wait, what? You thought Doug would be an adult? Ontario elected a bully. Doug ran on a platform of I will bully Trump and Ontario said, wait, there’s an election underway? I don’t agree with Doug on much, but I love the ad.

I thought someone saw it aired during World Series game last night??? Aren’t all ads propaganda? Isn’t that the point? At least this video is true, not AI, not cut/paste edited-Reagan said this. & MSM “journalists” sit there & allow these lies-of course, but only with MAGA peeps-they attack Dems.

So “they” planted a drawing in a birthday book and a video of Reagan attacking tariffs years ago but somehow couldn’t win either Congressional House or the Presidency…does this sound likely?

Without fail, every time these idiots are asked a straightforward factual question about the administration’s intentions they weasel out of answering it. They’re either lying, stupid, or just have no idea what the fuhrer will do next. The incompetence is astounding

“Why has the president continued with the tariffs that constitutionally must be based on a national emergency, which a tv commercial certainly is not? And none of his reasons meet that threshold. Haven’t the tariffs been illegal since day one?” There, fixed it.

I like how Welker said in response to Bessent’s ‘it’s propaganda’ comment: “but those were Reagan’s exact words, nothing about it was ‘taken out of context’ and indeed what he said reflects what both Democrats and Republicans, as well as experts, have believed for decades” Oh wait, no, she didn’t

Does he ever watch clips of himself holding his nose way high up in the air, forcing out his little tight "smile," looking for all the world like the robotic zombie he is?

Is this Trump propaganda or Canadian propaganda? It’s really hard to tell. Personally, it feels like Trump because he got his feelings hurt again and needed to lash out.

So glad to see the right question being asked. The President is saying (but he lies) that he has changed trade policy overnight for a country based on one advertisement made by one local leader. Anywhere else it would be laughable. Great way to start a war with Canada.

No effort to call out lies and hypocrisy?! These same news outlets have no prob accusing democrats of lies & hypocrisy even when it is only an accusation. Can she at least point out that A. The Reagan footage was true B. Why should this admin have a prob with govt ads (like Noem airport ads?!)

TMW: direct quotes from Ronald Reagan make the Republican administration call Ronald Reagan a propagandist. The GOP is dead. They have lost the plot. There is nothing conservative nor small government about the MAGA plot. -KM

Well, if you assume that his answer actually applies to Trump, it sort of makes sense. Trump‘s ridiculous and unfocused royal edicts on trade really are a sort of bizarre attempt to sway the US public. I can’t quite give them credit for being planned psyops, but they certainly aren’t unintentional.
