That it'll fail because they lack sufficient consolidation and centralized control does not make it trivial that the president of the United States is trying to steal elections and produce an illegitimate sham Congress. It is open rebellion against the Constitution and morally tantamount to treason.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

They’re setting a lot of precedents here that I hope people recall in the future.

Two former FBI officials are facing charges for allegedly lying to Congress as part of a probe focused on whether FBI investigators sought to minimize allegations of Biden family corruption and evidence of Hunter Biden's laptop, two people briefed on the investigation said. https://cnn.it/4spbDlZ

Warnock: "I worry that Democrats are missing a real opportunity to invest in a serious & sustained way in the South. If we would just lean in and stay in through the election & after the election, the kind of victory you saw us achieve here in Georgia, it is achievable in a place like Mississippi."

Two smaller things I appreciate here: 1. Unless I’m mistaken, there are zero cuts or edits in this? It’s the whole conversation, start to finish. 2. The addition of “or not pray at all” every single time, which a lot of candidates tend to omit.

Unless judges are going to start throwing people in jail, there's basically no reason to think this regime will listen to them much longer. They themselves have already clearly begun to figure out that they probably don't have to.

Elon Musk was violating his visa when he started his first business here and very likely obtained his U.S. citizenship through fraud. Where is that investigation?

HELL Kennedy@helenkennedy.com

Fox News is reporting this is a criminal investigation into the immigration paperwork filled out by Ilhan Omar’s late father when she was a child 40 years ago. I actually think this is so nakedly outrageous it will blow back on them. www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

the Vice President of the United States has gone on record citing this man as one of his biggest intellectual influences if you didn't know this, it's probably because for some reason literally no mainstream political media outlets think it's worth mentioning

If you live in the south (whether or not you are of the south) you have to hold your tongue so fucking much while these fuckers always feel free to say what they like (in part because they might shoot you) and for someone to just fucking say it is like the rain that breaks a stultefying summer day.

The Constitution allows it. South Korea has proven it works. If you want to make impeachment viable—and so much else is pointless if you don't—then it can be done by a simple majority adopting a simple rules change: vote on the verdict by secret ballot.

Trump’s insider trading is, on its own, the worst corruption scandal in US history, with $$$ dwarfing Teapot Dome. So are Trump’s bribes-for-pardons. So is the Qatar bribe plane. So is all the Saudi money he (and Kushner) have pocketed. And the ballroom. And more. Each alone would be the worst.

Will Stancil@whstancil.bsky.social

Again, you can always detect some faint embarrassment from Democrats when they talk about the ballroom, but “the president demolished a big part of the White House to build himself a palace with bribes from enemy powers” is, by an order of magnitude, the worst corruption scandal in US history

Please please please stop making a big deal out of the G7 reserves release. Yes, it’s 100 million barrels over 4 months. We - the planet - use 100 million barrels of crude every…single…day. Almost literally a drop in the bucket.

I know national Ds have to prioritize other races, but I do wish they would run up the score in NC to lengthen Roy Cooper's coattails and free us from the NCGA

Big news in the Senate battle. After pouring $30 million in NC, John Thune's GOP SuperPAC stops spending there, effectively conceding Cooper is likely to win. And they're dumping their first 7-figures in Kansas. (Note: a Dem internal found Hamilton up today.) www.semafor.com/article/10/0...
