Uh, this is what happens currently. They check your ID and ticket, then you move into screening. This is only adding a layer of threat to extant practices.

Check ids, knock us to the ground, pull out our hair and maybe shoot us. Should definitely improve the experience.

TSA training for Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) generally takes 6 months or longer to complete in full, comprising a mix of classroom, on-the-job training. ICE thugs will have none of the training, per usual. What could possibly go wrong 😑

Have they been trained? ICE agents don’t think Real ID licenses are acceptable- seems like a problem for airport screening.

Airline personnel check ID before people enter the screening area already. This is an additional step in the process, not help for long waits or TSA agents.

Basically making sure you have your boarding pass (paper or electronic) and ID so you're not fumbling around looking for them when you get to screening and to show that you actually belong in the screening line.
