That’s my take as well - I showed up at the wrong polling place one election - locations were switched & I didn’t get the memo. There were serval folks who did the same. (I went to my correct location. )

I’m a poll worker. When someone shows up at the wrong polling station, we tell them where to go. The electronic poll book we use will even print out directions on how to get there.

California votes entirely with paper ballots so we have hard evidence of every vote. Each election, the Rs scream “fraud” and spend months looking for non-citizen voters, duplicate votes, dead voters, altered ballots, any discrepancies at all. They find nothing. Every. Single. Time.

As a former election officer, I can say that, yes, many people do show up at the wrong poll location. But that’s because they moved or had some other life change. We did our best to help them get to the right place and to update their registration info. Last resort was a provisional ballot.
