Trump on the reflecting pool: “We met with contractors today, will probably be forced to release and drain much of the water in order to do the necessary repairs, but will have them done as quickly as possible.” 😭

How much will this refurbishing of the last refurbish cost? I smell a rat! The pool will need refurbishing as long as the felon can skim money off of it.

Where this BS narrative will break down is when we see the contractors do everything they were supposed to do the first time, like sandblast the granite and apply a primer coat. That will be their confession of guilt, and Trump's attempt to pin it on fictional vandals will be exposed as a lie.

Clearly the most important thing happening our country right now. So important that it demands the personal attention of the POTUS. It can’t possibly be left to the capable management of the experts within the agency charged with care and maintenance of monuments. 🙄

I don't have any urge to laugh when I consider what these claims of vandalism seem to be setting up in terms of policing public space. Who are the "additional" people arrested, and who were the original arrested people they are in addition to?

Sounds like another meeting in the Sit Room trying to cover up Trump's fiasco. Do the no-bid contractors get paid again, or will they hire competent people this time?

And maybe not drive the president through it, next time. Maybe this is the source of the “vandalism “ Armor several inches thick * Reinforced floor to resist explosions * Run-flat tires * Independent oxygen supply * Advanced communications equipment

Drain "much of the water" because it's OK to recoat it under an inch of water but not a foot of water? My guess: the hydrogen peroxide was not concentrated enough to do anything and quickly gets used up on the organic matter. Either the surface wan't prepared properly and/or not enough curing time.

It’s funny because I think many of us can already tell attempt #1 to fix this problem is going to fail too. 🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦🤦‍♀️🤦🤦‍♀️

"They also poured corrosive and destructive chemicals into the Pool." - Orange Turd It was TRUMPS National Park Service crews poured containers of 12% hydrogen peroxide into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Let’s roll the security footage and see who made numerous cuts in “paint” that’s has been peeling off within days of the mafia contractors Cafaro’s work. I hope the 67 year old cyclist who was arrested for touching the water to see what the blue floating ”material “ was sues for defamation

Is he really claiming that water now is more reflective than water was before? That the reflecting pool wasn't reflecting until he ... what, blessed it with his deal making skills?

What's so funny about this is they're arresting people for removing paint strips when if it was encouraged to take a souvenir they would do a favor to future contractors by doing the work for them

No. Matter. What He will never admit fault Evvvvvver bsky.app/profile/lach...

I kind of wish this were true, but unfortunately Occam's razor would dictate the malignant narcissist who can never admit he's a moron had a think tank situation room meeting with "the best people" to figure out their best lie to avoid the inevitable realization by all that he is a moron

Sorry this is the only picture I saved from his post. I find it hilarious that he was dissing Obama for how the reflecting pool looked. I can always hear him saying "Barack HOOOSSEIN!!! Obama"

The reflecting pool now perfectly reflects his presidency. Couldn't have come up with anything better. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Trump on the reflecting pool: “We met with contractors today, will probably be forced to release and drain much of the water in order to do the necessary repairs, but will have them done as quickly as possible.” 😭

the absolute complete denial of science and what happens when you hire crony donors with no experience in the project gifted to them as a big thanks for the money

I really want to know what he’s being told, and who is telling it. This has “Russian military” levels of corruption and incompetence.

yes, but at least $14 million every few weeks to fix the previous fix to the reflecting pool costs less than $1 billion a day to bomb school girls sitting in a classroom.

If this my family member, relative, friend….they are going straight to the hospital. The fact that there are [sane] people on here actually making sense of this is what is maybe slightly more insane.

Do pools have facades? Isn’t he supposed to have a basic understanding of architectural terms if he’s donnie the greatest builder ever known?

So will Trump's buddies be forced to do the repairs gratis for doing such a bad job in the first place? -or- Will it just end up being another 14 million more taxpayer dollars in Trump's buddy's pockets again?

Right, because all the people walking around, security, D.C. cops and video surveillance totally missed a person wading into the pool with a knife and cutting a 250 foot slice into the paint. For reference, an American football field is 300 feet long.

The tall toddler in the WH doesn't know that HE is the one who made the algae problem worse?!? Dude, 1 gd person in his cabinet who isn't a moron or coward could have saved us $14M on this project alone! $14M SO F-ING FAR Dark color + sun = algae bloom + B button Peroxide peels paint Morons 🤬

The reflecting pool “didn’t work” before he painted it? Like since it was built? Why the hell does he think it was called the reflecting pool then? What does he think it was supposed to do?

It was his greatest failure that could not be hidden from the public so we had to make up and blatant lies with no evidence because he such an infant that he can’t take any responsibility when things don’t go his way because unlike every one else he is the only one that has never made a mistake

They should have just left it alone and come up with a real plan to renovate it correctly. If you look at the history of the pool it's a mess. Poorly engineered and built on top of a marshland. If they wanted a quicker fix then they should have used plaster and a proper start up as it was refilled.

Wait, maybe I'm reading it wrong but look right in the middle of this rambling nonsense... Did he claim that the pool had never provided a reflection until his pool guys flex sealed the whole thing?

Okay first of all, there’s pictures of workers pouring chemicals into the pool. Secondly, someone took a knife and ran a 250 foot gash in the pool? Were they using a lightsaber?

He has! He was on a secret tech summit I hosted. It was about (pssst, don't tell anyone, it's a secret) a brand new technical space weapon that will make all laser sabers redundant. He was here for us to take measures bc we make him an individual one.

If he had listened to his engineers in the first place, he wouldn’t have this problem and we, the taxpayers, wouldn’t be saddled with repair costs. We are being F’d every day with his incompetence! 🤬🤬

This is a pack of lies. It was the government that poured in the hydrogen peroxide, which acts a paint thinner and likely cause the peeling. He needs a strait jacket and a padded cell.

Trouble is, nobody really knows what happened—except that it wasn't vandalism. So if they start over again without some investigation Of what eent wrong this time they’re working by trial and error. Which is not ideal.

Shouldn’t he have had at least one success by now? Statistically, I mean. If he just guessed what to do, flipped a coin, selected randomly. I would think at least one idea wouldn’t be an enormous failure. Unfortunately for him, he trusts his instincts and his instincts are always wrong.

I work with a lot of his "followers" at a small town sports bar. They literally didn't even know it happened in the first place. I heard one say to the other YESTERDAY about how it being painted was such a good birthday present for him. They have actively given up critical thinking.
