The United States Post Office is paid to move mail - not decide what mail we can or can't get. If it's not drugs, chemicals or a bomb just do your fricking job and move the mail.

The postmaster general is not subject to Senate confirmation. He is also not appointed directly by the president. He is named by the USPS Board of Governors (the president does select those board members). They are the only ones who get to vote on him, and they already did that in May of 2025.

I live in a mail only voting state and we get our ballots at least a month in advance; it's easy to check if it's been mailed and that's enough time to get a provisional ballot. They may try to gum up the works, but they can't stop it.

Guess who delivers those to your house so you can drop it off after you fill it out? Don't assume it will even be delivered.

I never mail my ballot. Now, if we have to pick up ballots, that will be more difficult for people.

As a one-time mail carrier I completely agree. How could they actually carry this out? I hope they can’t, but they are sure as f*ck going to give it their best shot. Maybe they post pictures of “forbidden mail” on each sorting station and require mail carriers to carry it out. Horrible!

When I received my ballot in California, it was easily recognizable as a ballot sent from a government office (don't recall if it was a county or state office). I would imagine the fascists at the USPS will refuse to process that mail next time so that you don't have the option to deliver it.

I'm picturing men with guns standing behind sorting machine operators, threatening to take them to jail for [insert charges here] if they let any ballot envelopes through the machine.
