Post

Can I edit a post I made? I noticed a couple of typos!

Disable Trending please. Make a difference Bluesky!

Bluesky is better than x Twitter

Seriously.

If this Bluesky app does that then change to another Bluesky app that doesn't. Voila.

then disable it????

There's people wanting to leave twitter but they can't because the trending bsky.app/profile/hand...

Their mod team is compromised and supports said bad actors

“You can disable it with the X button or in Settings”

I'm okay with the Trending section, but is there a way to disable the Recommended section? It's too cluttered having both.

Version number 1.96.2

Yeah well it's there on my on my laptop but not on the app on my phone.

Do not want, thank you!

No trending please🙂‍↕️

Abacus

Honestly, I like them more like in Twitter, in an ordered list like 1. 2. 3. 4.

> Disable it with the X button I see a joke there

Ahhh you mean English only = Britain! Ok got it. Can’t wait to roll out in Europe!!! 😊👍🎄🎄🎄

You know, they had to have somewhere to go after JDs comments, I don't mind.

I have you on my desktop. Can't find this Trending thing.

برايفت يا عالم اعتقوني ابي برايفت طلبي بسيط

Firefox on iMac desktop. Not seeing it.

So far, it seems to be working well. Thank-you Bluesky Team. Looking forward to the new adventures we'll have together in the coming year.

I appreciate the help but this is all I see

Can confirm, not showing up.

Hi,dm me if you wanna have some fun 😈💦🍆🍑🤤

Can we get a way to dismiss and hide Recommended topics? I’m getting a lot of irrelevant crap. NOT through muting please! I don’t want to mute “beauty” to stop recs on cosmetics, but end up hiding posts talking about the beauty of wildlife! Just stop the recommendations.

suggestions: mute & pin topics directly from Trending

I could not get to it until I deleted previous searches, shut down and re-started app. Now seems to be available and working.

I would love if people checked out my profile to see if they would like to #follow!

Neither me

Check clicking the magnifying glass thing at the bottom of your app screen

Hi,dm me if you wanna have some fun 😈💦🍆🍑🤤

Anyone out there responding to SCOTUS latest foray into the TRUMP ODYSSEY? Maybe the GRAND REVERSE has begun.

I think they should be listed from 1 to 10 and not without ranking. During important events, sports, conversations, that would be very beneficial.

Whoa awesome!

My sidebar is on the left

Is there a way to get a more localized trend by country or region?

The only V1 is @v1-osw.bsky.social I thank you very much!

explode

When will this update be available to UK BlueSky users via Google Play ?? My last update was 20th December here.

One main reason I left X is that I couldn't get rid of trending topics and news. For those with anxiety disorders, it is traumatizing.

How about from:account searches? When you can't even find your own back-posts, what's the point of a long tail?

The search button doesn't show me this trending beta thingy..

👍

For the internet retarded. Where on Side bar for desktop? I do not see a side bar Thank you

Is there an API endpoint for trending topics?

if Bluesky's "Trending Topics" isn't working with Firefox (desktop) when uBlock Origin is enabled try disabling uBlock Origin, refreshing the Bluesky page, then re-enabling uBlock Origin

Shareable mute word lists - great idea!

Since no one answered this for you, I will give it a shot. 😎 There are a number of starter packs out there with the kind of content you are looking for. To find starter packs go to your profile page, click the "Starter Packs" tab located to the left of your posts, replies, media, and likes. Cheers!

Well I'm glad I can turn it off, at least. This is the worst part of that other site.

this is a great way to make your website worse. thanks!

Yet another vector for ragebait to creep into my life. No thanks. Disabled

Can you stop blocking Palestinians?

Thank you @bsky.app! I like it! 🦋💙🦋

Great idea! Look forward to enjoying this option.

This is a great add! However, nothing here should mention X , can’t we use something else . Unless it’s what happens when you get removed we can say you are xtinct 🤣

I still don't have it

Ugh. I disabled it immediately, I'm here on Bluesky to have a good time, not to see trending stuff.

foi o brasil que pavimentou o chão aqui, devíamos ser os primeiros

That’s wonderful. Now give us real decentralization.

Same here

Will we be able to avoid Trending entirely? It was one of my least favorite features of Twitter.

Bluesky has had a algo since day 1 every feed is a algo discover is a algo that finds popular posts. Folks who stated otherwise don't know what they are talking about.

Great initiative 👍 he1.me/NT5kv

I went to Settings => App Store. Then I scrolled down to Automatic downloads. Turn on App Downloads, App Updates (on my phone that was the one off, no idea why!), and In-app content. Then I updated went to the App Store and updated Bluesky. Enjoy!

I guess BS are using some third-party service to feed the trends to the client. The service must be used by other ad or tracking folks.

Merry Xmas 🎄

There needs to be a way to banish all sportsball from it. I don't feel like curating a massive list of all sportsball teams and personalities just to get rid of that...

🤔🧐 Any progress with editing existing posts? @pfrazee.com @jay.bsky.team @jacob.gold @danabra.mov @anshnanda.com

me either.. not able to figure out how to access trending

Still doesn't show up (Netherlands)

Being limited to English sounds like a very good idea. On the ex bird site, now a letter site, trending is always full of swear words, basic words like "what" and "is", and then sometimes odd forms of actual things like "on television" (note the preposition!)

cool

Ok up L ok p ppl lol Pp I'l Lo PP p

It's not showing for me or am I doing something wrong?

Nice addition. Needed this, thanks!

I can't find this on desktop.

Hahahah

So since it is Beta, I can’t see it right?!?

This is what I was wanting most since leaving X. Thank you!!!

Yep, mine's working. I pinned it cos I presumed it would be complicated and faffy to sort but no bother 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cheers - but tried that - did an update, signed out, signed back in …nada !

Would it be possible to add a direct translation button for posts? Currently, clicking to translate opens a different app, which is somewhat inconvenient. I recall seeing a setting for this initially, but I don't remember what I selected and am unable to change it now.

Nice job - looks well designed and very useful. Thanks!

Glad you have that, but it's not working for me, I'm on Macbook..

Not yet, it's still in BETA test you know...

It doesn't look local.

There’s an ‘x’ next to Trending but not one next to Recommended. I’d love to be able to just turn off the Recommended but keep the Trending.

Thats is great it's the one thing I felt, was missing and what keeps me on the other site, however I can't see trending topics when I look

Not seeing any trending here iOS18.2 iphone16

Bruh, sexual content is censored/blocked by default.

Yeah nah, they've been here long before you. You can safely assume that's true of all new social media.

Furries are present on nearly all social media platforms rn – any of them that have lenient censorship policies, so ofc they're here and on Twitter. Make use of that block button and the blacklist functions if you don't wanna see it 👍

I don’t have it :(
