Tonight, let my dog out...thank God, i have her on 30' leach...she took off running & barking. Low & behold a red fox was walking through our yard and took off so fast. Scared me. Without the long leach, my dog would have taken off chasing her.

I'm furiously looking for the picture I took 2 summers ago of a very pregnant gray fox curled up in my bird bath, sound asleep. She was looking for a cool off spot. 2 months later we saw her 2 kits running around the garden. They're so cute!

It is time to harvest them when their tail starts to droop like that. Some say it is too early, but those have soft foxes. Just make sure to shake it off when you harvest it, to make sure a new one grows next season. Fox Facts - don't subscribe for more.
