For all those alledged "baseball" fans who don't know Bo Jackson, I will ask this simple question: Could Shohei Ohtani rush for 221 yards in a single game?

If Bo’s body was broken by the NFL, then Shohei’s body would be obliterated by the NFL… Unless Shohei were like a hybrid kicker/punter/long-snapper - assuming he snaps it to himself - then maybe he could survive

And you are able to judge his capabilities on this based on what? You have no idea if he would know how to read defenses or not. Because he isn't a NFL quarterback ffs. Anyway, just to fuck with you. There is 100% certainty he would have thrown 400+ yard game. Guaranteed.

Showing you are an idiot about both baseball and football🤣😂🤣😊 Just because you adore Ohtani doesNOT make him a football player There are skills that football requires that Ohtani just doesnot possess Bo Jackson PROVED that he could excel at both QBs do more than just aim a ball to a glove😁

Fuck no , bo was a true dual threat athlete I watched him in college and the pros it was football that gave him that devastating hip injury and it was from 1 freak sideline tackle by bengals Kevin walker , his claim of infamy

I am aware, not twelve years old. He also “married up”. And Bo could HIT a 98MPH pitch. Fo sho & outta da yahd! However he could never, ever, EVER *throw* a 98MPH strike. Karnak: one point seven nine & zero point nine five. I’ll permit you suss what the question was. 😑

I saw Bo hit a homer 480’ during the all star game in Anaheim. Also saw him run over the Elway led Broncos at the Coliseum. His most memorable play was a sharp liner just over the shortstop that was a definite hit. But it wasn’t. Bo raced in and caught it easily. Fastest I’ve ever seen anyone move.

The wall in that corner read 316 feet...he was just inside the warning track...he threw a laser 300 feet on a DIME...anywhere else and the runner scores...announcer trying to simultaneously say the Royals got a break, but admitting Jackson nailed him...props to Bob Boone for a perfect catch and tag.

MRIs existed then, not sure an easy fix was possible, given the blood supply loss he had with the dislocation. But you're right, his chances would have been better with today's tech ... and yeah, Ohtani and the rest of them ... ugh, it's been sad lately as a lifelong Dodgers/Lakers fan 😞

No. I always judge great athletes by them doing something I’ve never seen before. Remember when Bo caught that ball and ran up the outfield wall? Who does that?? He may also be the first I remember snapping the bat in two. Ohtani is unique too, so he’s there, but he’s no Bo Jackson.

Just two home runs would make him cover 240 yards, so yeah. Lots of times. More pertinent question is, how effective was Bo Jackson's splitter?

V confirms this claim checks out. Shohei Ohtani is a professional baseball player, not an American football player, so he has never rushed for yards in a game. Real-time fact-checks on your feed: https://veratify.ai Errors or comments: info@veratify.ai

I remember Bo. I witnessed a 2-HR game: highest popup I’ve ever seen and a line drive that never dipped. Oh, and a strike from the warning track to home on the fly…

Probably the greatest athlete of the last 100 years. But can Bo throw a 100 MPH fastball, a curve, a change up etc? Could he, in the same game, steal his 50th base, hit his 50th homer, hit three homers in the game, pitch 6 scoreless innings striking out 10 batters?

I’ve known Bo for 30 years. He has a house down the street from me in Auburn. Possibly the best all around athlete to walk the planet. And an awesome guy to boot.
