there's an entire information sub-economy focused on pretending Mark Zuckerberg is innovative and interesting

Serious question. Are these genuine or is it the king's court telling the king how amazing he is. This feels like over the top ass kissing. But I can't tell. To be fair I'm on the other end of the spectrum and take a compliment as just being polite or a cynical ploy.

I kind of wish I had 100 billion dollars literally out of sheer curiosity over whether this would somehow in itself turn me into a moron

I would genuinely and sincerely rather go wash dishes at a dairy queen than work at a place where I had to treat this preposterous knob's fake innovation seriously

The origination stories of these tech “geniuses” should be repeated: online way to rate girls, inheritance from SA mines funding a city guide, etc. No Nobel level ideas there.

I suspect that at some point there will be an app that erases these glasses from someone's face to lower the dork factor, similar to those fake backgrounds on zoom calls.

I imagine quite a lot of this is fueled by a personal marketing campaign and he almost certainly has a paid staff whose job it is to keep him elevated in the news.

It is so incredibly weird how a random idiot can get lucky a single time and suddenly the press assumes they must be some super-genius. And nothing can dispel this! He literally rebranded the company with his most recent hilariously incompetent failure, and it didn't dent his image at all.

I’ve said it a million times, but the greatest evidence that Zuckerberg stole the idea for Facebook from those dumb dumb twins is the fact that he hasn’t had a single successful idea since.

I even think calling what he did in his 20s peaking is kind of generous he lucked into mass wealth with a platform he used to rank the hotness of Harvard girls. if he hadn't invented it, somebody else easily would have

It’s so obvious outside the media bubble, too. I graduated in 2007 and at the time, getting a job at Facebook was like a high prestige thing. Now it’s just embarrassing to admit that you work there

I like how these articles just don't like to mention his core money-making platform is absolutely awful and nobody, anywhere, likes dealing with his company

Because that's not good for business. He needs more clicks to make more money, so it's going to be mostly bots interacting with bots to pretend there's something worthwhile in between the ads.
