Trump’s two main problems are: 1. Iran won’t commit to signing an MOU 2. The MOU is a terrible compromise and unpopular with Americans, especially Republicans No one has an approved copy of it for a reason. Sure there are leaks, but nothing official. That’s by design lol @jenpsaki.bsky.social

Instead of a mechanism to enforce nuclear controls like what existed under Obama’s deal we replaced that with taking their word for it. My hunch is a promise from the Iranian government is as trustworthy as one from the US government.

Iran was willing to give up its enrichment program because Kerry and Obama were perceived as trustworthy and honest brokers. Not the case with Trump. The Iranians don't trust him.

The wording about the nuclear program is EXACTLY same as what Obama had in the JCPOA; the $16B reconstruction money Chump's been lambasting Biden for giving to Iran is peanuts compared to $300B he's willing to give. Those are but two of the ways proving a 10 yr old is better negotiator than Chump.

Iran NEVER had a nuclear weapons program because their leader - before Trump killed him - considered it against their religion. They had a nuclear power building program to provide cheap energy for Iranians so did didn't need to rely on oil. Know the history before attacking people. 😼

The world knows that the Obama deal (JCPOA) was better in every conceivable way than the one being offered here; with no deaths, the Straits were never closed, and we didn't pay over $4/gal for gas. And it will be awhile before the oil infrastructure returns to pre-war levels. We gained NOTHING!

That sounds really bad compared to Obama’s JCPOA nuclear deal. So far, Trump's cost the US government about $50 billion in military spending and Americans roughly $37 billion in extra fuel costs, and it’s pushed inflation up to 4.2%. Not exactly a strong showing for a “deal maker.”

A lot of these things are what we should do anyway. Especially, given what we have done to their country and their people. This war was for nothing. People died for no good reason other than a handful of men wanted to look and feel tough with the military ready to back them up.
