The large urban centers will survive because federal funds make up a small fraction of their operation budgets; it's the smaller, rural outlets that rely heavily on the federal funding which occupies a larger portion of their budgets. This is also MAGA country who'll get what they voted for.

People are frustrated and wanted change. For better or worse. Trump preys on this frustration to his advantage. The best asset he has is that people who oppose him are willing to turn on each other over purity rather than setting aside those differences and focus their energy on Trump.

1. Republicans in Congress did this at the command of the president. 2. Your reporting has shown you bending the knee to appease the president since he returned to office.

In Georgia it means no more broadcasting of the local Saturday High School football games - a bipartisan issue. None of this, none will MAGA. We are captive to a media obsessed megalomaniac.

It is horrible that the Republicans are ending support for NPR and PBS. Now you can admit that twisting your news coverage to be favorable to the current administration didn’t work, and you can actually start doing journalism again. Report honestly on the horrible things that are being done. Please.

On the upside, I and many others will have cleaner mental health after not hearing anymore threats from congress to de-fund public media. And, I will be significantly increasing my donations.

20. As in the right wing, so, too, the left wing fails to recognize honest critique. We are so used to blatant unfair criticism from opposing political sides that we have lost the ability to realize when a critique is trying to help and be truthful. Can the many "NPR"s and "Fox"s snap out of it ?

Everyday, NPR, and all left/right/center news highlights stories that says to each part of the population, "your neighbor hates you".

15.G Another harm that degraded journalism has done in their selling of 'woke culture" and it's bizarre and incomplete takes on gender, sexuality, and history is that these social-theories became the face of the "west", giving foreign powers a valid excuse to work and war against western countries.

15. F. Even worse, the over-all degrading and bias of journalism done by journalist themselves, seen and done in ALL media options of the left and right, now leaves them all open to being replaced by something worse, which most likely will be the case.

15. D. 2 ...therefore, even tragic events that NPR biasedly reports on, such as what is happening in Gaza, Ukraine, and all the world, is not believed by many people. This is sad, for people are being killed and much of the public doubts NPRs (and all new's) story and the numbers presented.

15. E. This unscientific and twisted " national conversation on race" continuously aired by the medias along with the academics, journalist, entertainers, shows there is a big problem in our education system, a problem that has led to violence and hate and war. NPR happy talk plays a role in this.

15. D. This incomplete and biased reporting of the race issue by NPR and PBS (and all medias) has also stereotyped, smeared and casted doubt on the real wrongs happening and that happened. NPR/medias also sold a new replacement form of racism and oppression in their "national race conversation"

15. C. The omission of world history and the sciences from the race discussion by journalist, medias, academics, and politicians is the most baffling of things to see. Also, to focus on particular years and eras and skin colors to make a conclusion in a race study is as unscientific as can be.

15. B. The thorough review of all histories of the world and the sciences is necessary BEFORE a person can begin to talk about race issues or other social issues. Yet NPR and the medias do it. The subject is impossible for the public to discuss through the medias in piecemeal form in no order.

Critical Race Theory is wrong because it excludes evidence: the entire history of all mankind and it's peoples across the world; no detailed review of human nature, psychology, biology, geography, weather, geology, resources, sociology, economics, industries, trades, skills, politics,...all.

NPR has become the low point for journalism and radio, and this said by someone who recognizes the importance of journalism, and sees the same wrongs in fox news, abc, nbc, cbs, etc. Therefore, do not brush-off criticism of NPR as political maneuvering, you guys do harm and should be shut-down.

14. Forty years ago, NPR and PBS were once great news outlets, all that was slowly stripped-away to a new low-point for journalism. In many parts of the country, NPR has a near monopoly on radio news, and they used that to spread hateful race theories and bizarre policies on gender and sexuality.

Shut NPR and PBS down, they have defied their original purpose, they are not what they where 40 years ago, they have changed into something that has harmed and weakened our country. They have created hate and resentment out of nowhere, using lies and missing facts, all done with "happy" voices.

The annoying stereotypes and issues biasly promoted by NPR and PBS has driven more people to right-wing extremism ( and left-wing extremism) than "right-wing news" has. This is not another overstatement, or, another over-exaggeration that has become common in news and politics, this is true.

9. When elders are removed, this also removes wisdom, knowledge and experience from being passed-on to the younger journalist. Important policies, and the reasons for the policies, that are not taught in school, are lost forever, and we hear this naivety everyday with the childish voices of NPR.

8. NPRs hiring and airing of youth journalist and newcasters immediately into high positions is another affront to the important field of journalism. This is an age-old trick of authoritarians, too, replacing street-wise elders with naive youth. When done in journalism, much damage happens.

7. Not all people can pronounce a german or spanish or arabic name with the proper accent. NPR and PBS have turned this common linguistic acrobatic inability into an insult, even opening people to be accused of being racist for this. This is a vile divide method promoted by NPR, PBS, democrats.
