To me, using a word like "glizzy" for food is the same as using a word like "sexy" or the phrase "orgasm in my mouth" for food.
It's gross. Stop sexualizing food.
The age matters less than the fact that the hot dog doesn't deserve this slang name, and also hot dog is already a slang name so it feels a little like gliding the lily here
Imagine sitting at a race track in your Derby finest, watching your 30 to 1 filly cross the finish line just ahead of the favorite, slapping your knee, and shouting "Glizzy!"
Imagine that.
Just imagine.
TIL glizzy originated in the DC area to refer to a glock pistol, then progressed to mean hot dog due to the resemblance it has to an extended pistol mag
Etymology is fun!
