He talks to women like a man who hates women. If they are not fawning over him they are merely bodies to be used & mouths that should remain closed until that is also useful. Of course he raped children.

Puleeeze. FactsFirst 👇 Since becoming president again, Trump has promised: -$5000 stimulus checks via "DOGE dividend" -$2000 stimulus checks via "tariff dividend" -$1000+ checks via "savings" from expiring ACA subsidies -$5000 "dividend" if Rs win midterms No checks have been issued

Too bad there aren’t many fitting that job description in legacy media. A couple of questioners here or there intermittently making him mad, is why it’s difficult to use words like journalists and reporters.

You can become a journalist to be a TV star or to join the elites or to write an American canto or you can become a journalist to challenge power and advocate for the powerless.

I don't understand why people aren't lining up to the the next Woodward and Bernstein. The lane to future deification is completely open. They'll make biopics out of the first journalist to go all-in.

For sure. But what we *haven't* had is someone really ask the hard questions to Trump's face over and over and over. Or even the rest of the admin! They maybe make a little attempt to ask something that isn't fluff, they're rebuffed, and then they just... stop. It might cost them access, after all.

1/3 You want to be a journalist? Strip away the romance. One path leads to the anchor desk, the network contract, the smiling nod at sponsored truths while your paycheck traces back to the same powers you claim to question—safe, lit, trending.

2/3 The other path is dark: showing up at the uncovered city council meeting, asking why the water tastes like metal, following the money from landfill to LLC, publishing despite the cease-and-desist. It won’t trend, but it might keep a family in their home.

3/3 Advocating for the powerless isn’t bias—it’s the minimum job requirement. Refusing to challenge power isn’t neutrality; it’s complicity. You’re not reporting then—you’re retransmitting the press release with better lighting. The microphone isn’t a trophy. It’s a lever. Choose what you push for.

What a lot of them don't seem to understand is that doing tough journalism would actually make them way more of a TV star than just being yet another talentless stenographer. Like look at Daniel Dale, he got a following for doing actual fact checking of Trump, now nobody thinks about him at CNN.

Getting someone to lose their shit in public (righteously) is a feature, not a bug - if you just want drama you get it, and if they lose control, sometimes they say things they shouldn't say but that everyone else should know.

I can’t believe that someone didn’t just simply say “according to your polling, Mr President, you’re currently ‘the worst’.” Sure you’ll get kicked off the press pool but by God you’ll have a headline for the ages.

Reporters should specifically call him on this behaviour in the moment and refer to it as un-american. Redefine the country the GOP are currently stealing. Trump is unamerican and the GOP are unamerican.

Why does he get away with this? No one else would. The attack on Biden was unconscionable, even if Trump wasn’t given a pass all the time. He’s a bully. I loathe bullies.
