Check out how easy this is.
Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

We really don't need to worry about this one. Even in the unlikely event that this happens, the Democratic nominee for governor seems to be highly favored to win, and he would just appoint Peltola to the empty seat.
There's a scenario in which the Supreme Court gets this case in December and three justices involved in Bush v. Gore on behalf of Bush will be asked whether confusion is grounds to reject election results.

Today marks 2 years since I started HRT. 2 years since Ken Paxton and the rest of the Texas GOP lost the control they had over my life and I was finally allowed to be myself. I’m proud to say that I voted against my attempted killer today. Fuck you, Ken.
I’m a Texan trans kid who almost died because of Ken Paxton. The world should know what he’s done. This was very difficult for me to write, but given what's at stake, I cannot bear to stay silent about what I went through at Paxton's hands. He must not be rewarded for what he's done to trans kids.
I honestly think that some people in Democratic politics think they can scandal themselves into the White House like some sort of woke Nate Paul.
Other than Rahm himself, who wants Rahm Emanuel to run for president? He’s not a particularly talented candidate. He’s got lots of baggage. He’ll get eaten alive by someone like Ossoff or Buttigieg or AOC on a debate stage. What even is his base?

I was in the 2020 Denver protests, and lots of us steered clear of the edgelords, and got totally validated when one of them turned out to be a Fed informant.
These people are in love with the aesthetics of radicalism and the libidinal thrill of righteous violence. They are not interested in doing the political work required to improve their material circumstances, which they find boring.

Alex is right, y'all are being unfair. Having a Tesla that can drive off of a cliff safely is actually an important add on for the Full Self-Driving package.
do think there's a danger of looking at extremely cool shit like a car driving upside down then doing a kickflip before landing, and convincing yourself it's actually lame because the guy funding it is a white supremacist

In early 2025, I assumed the Trump regime would delete the Department of Justice’s press releases and other statements related to more than 1,000 Jan. 6 cases. So I downloaded them. We’ve now made them available to the public with a search tool. They can’t erase history. jan6memoryproject.org

Trump II absolutely is a generational national trauma and it makes perfect sense that the (increasingly small) group of people who love everything Trump is doing can't see it that way.
There's a Politico (lol) piece entirely about how Republicans' hope right now is that the polls are all way off and they only get a MILD wipeout and first of all it's full of a bunch of nonsense but the best part is how it ends on this incredible bit:

I have no problem saying things on here that get me yelled at, so I'll just say it: I think the demonization of "well, actually" is itself a corrosive plague on society. If I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong. We decided at some point that it's gauche to correct people for being factually incorrect. Why?

Even if you think 141 acres of the urban core should be consumed by a golf course, you should at least acknowledge the tradeoffs. This shit ain't free. www.austinpolitics.net/how-much-doe...

There's a lot of fantasy-posting about people in America attacking datacenters, but the first time an important one goes down due to terrorism, it will be the greatest modern disruption of American life in nearly all of our history. And that's the day the anti-datacenter movement collapses fully.
1/ Restoring Yandex's damaged data centres will take at least six months and cost billions. Disruption is already severe; Russian manufacturers and distributors face imminent disaster due to Ukraine's strikes causing the collapse of the state-operated goods tracking system. ⬇️

There's plenty the Democrats get wrong, and it's worth calling them out over it. It's also best not to pair your criticism with an attitude that makes people instantly dismiss that criticism. Politicians follow the base. If you aren't voting Dem in the general, you are just not the base. Sorry.
for what it's worth, here's why libs hear my criticisms of dems: ▪️i never use or imply 'low agency' narratives that blame dems/libs for fascism ▪️i never threaten (ge) abstention, or imply there's no point voting ▪️i never express sympathy with abstention, say i understand, or kinda defend it
