Slightly unexpected turn of events. I registered for StackConnect Manchester intending to go along, listen to some test people talking and drink too much conference coffee. BrowserStack then asked if I’d like to be a speaker. So apparently I’m going to be one of the interesting people!

When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. For a lot of people AI is their hammer so they try to use it for every problem. It can certainly be useful but it's only one tool. I blame big hammer.

Richard Tice thinks ITV should be investigated for their undercover report. I agree! ITV should follow Reform's lead and investigate themselves. After which I'm sure they will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

"Sleeper cells smuggled in in small boats I tell you, sleeper cells!" "Oh, British nationals? Must be second generation immigrants not integrating." Let out on bail? Er..... got it! "Bloody labour, soft on criminals"

On BBC Radio 4's Moral Maze tonight: “Slavery - Right or Wrong?” Some people say it’s morally wrong. On the other hand, it makes a tonne of money. On the panel: Edward Colston, King Leopold II, Tommy Robinson and Matt Goodwin. Join us as we discuss one of the great moral dilemmas of the day.

this story is batshit Here is the full article, which includes all prompts, trial transcripts, the report itself. The firm hired charged more than $80,000 for the report. Also shows that AI transcripts can be discoverable and can be very revealing: www.404media.co/show-how-3m-...

It’s official: the Nerd Reich podcast is getting banned from YouTube….the week of my book launch! Incredible timing, since I’ll be all over the media next week talking about tech fascism. They can delete my account. They can’t stop my work. Buy the book: www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Ne...

It's me, a Telegraph columnist, taking a break screaming bloody murder about fairness in the women's sports I wouldn't be caught dead watching to wax lyrical about academic integrity in sociology, a field I consider to be fake, at institutions I consider to be communist indoctrination centers.

I think punk was basically politically fine until any of its participants got on the property ladder, a path which leads directly to Julie Birchall

Looking forward to watching the hit new Elon Musk Grok Odyssey Movie in the middle of a Mars river in my fully aquatic and self-driving Cybertruck having paid for the ticket via my bank account on X, the Everything App, as I marvel at the post-DOGE balanced US federal budget.

Yes that's how jobs work. Equally we could say "Journalist Codie Bullen was paid to write this Daily Mail 'shameless' anti-BBC propaganda"

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface

Just as a point of fact here, from Manchester you can see both the West Pennines and the Peaks.
