Loaded and fired the kiln this morning--small batch of stuff to bisque (22 mugs, 6 various other things). Mugs (white stoneware) will be glazed and fired in the electric kiln, other stuff (red stoneware) is for a wood firing I've be participating in later this week. Will unload tomorrow. Fun fun.

The list is essentially infinite. Top of the list is probably medical science, particularly in cancer research.

Pretty chill Saturday. Did some chores, got some groceries, played a lil bit of video games, hung out with my dog. Soon I'm gonna make a big ol' batch of chili. Was going to make cornbread to go with, but the good bakery had Japanese milk buns. They are so good you guys.

these are pictures from the area near where the province of New Brunswick is proposing to use hydraulic fracturing to extract "natural gas", e.g., methane. The province is proposing to extract in "Fundy Albert", a geologically complex area rich in natural resources and a unique ecosphere.

Made 22 mugs and some other nonsense for a bisque firing this weekend. Next week I'm participating in firing a wood kiln, which is a super fun time (that's what the other nonsense is for, not the mugs). Wood kiln takes 24 hours to fire, working in shifts. This will be my third. I'll take pix.
