"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!" Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

I am sympathetic to Silicon Valley guys ascribing human-level consciousness to AI because if I had to talk to people from Silicon Valley all day I’d probably have a real low bar for sentience too

It’s so confusing. I thought Farage was a huge fan of charity, meaning donations given freely by people with no expectation of anything in return.

Can someone from the new Treasury team now reverse the idiotic new requirement for freelancers and small businesses to produce quarterly accounts under MTD please? It’s hours of extra work & won’t bring in one extra penny in tax. As usual, the only winners are accountants.

I have put together a little video guide to Nigel Farage's umm... evolving views on hecklers. They seem to be quite dependent on whether the heckler disagrees with him (bad, boring, frightening, dangerous), or shouts abuse at a woman in the street (buy him a pint/give him a peerage).

It’s being said a lot that the shadow of Iraq is hanging over Keir Starmer and the Labour Party during this Iran crisis. It absolutely should. What’s remarkable is how little much of the British media and the rest of politics seem to be thinking about it at all, or learning its lessons.
