I have, only this morning, lifted the curse of my fantasy Football side from Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo and therefore confidently expect them both to get a hat trick against Bournemouth

Trump is increasingly rapidly approaching the “Old man shouts at cloud” phase of his presidency. His motivations are entirely personal; wealth, status & gratification. Total absence of empathy, loyalty or morality. Increasingly seen as erratic and selfish. The world is forming a new MO around the US

As his decline continues it gathers speed, it’s increasingly apparent he will lose significant power at the mid-terms and will become a lame duck. He will react by increasingly erratic behaviour as he flails around, resulting in even more decline in his reputation and influence

A dark blizzard of disinformation is warping the public’s perception of our great city. But we know the truth: our homicide rate is lower than every major US city, neighbourhood crimes are down and we’ve been ranked #1 city in the world 11 years in a row. My piece for The Times.

thetimes.comWe must fight back against troll army’s lies about LondonThere is a dark blizzard of disinformation online, where our capital is described as a lawless dystopia in decline — this couldn’t be further from the truth

It is almost, almost, impressive just how Labour have taken the massively dysfunctional and incompetent Home Office and managed by dint of policies and rhetoric to make it even more dysfunctional and incompetent. It is a true testament to how hostile they are to migrants. archive.today/07Hdr

This is what I was hoping to see from influencers and independent journalists who traveled to Cuba. The impacts of U.S. actions aren't getting the attention they deserve in mainstream media. My people are being ignored in the U.S. news.

This moment from Feb 2025 may go down as one of the most prescient exchanges in modern diplomatic history. Zelenskyy warned Trump that while the United States may feel protected by an ocean today, a time could come when America would need help in war. Trump scolded him instead.

Going out on a limb here, but if Tommy Robinson is tweeting praising your new immigration policy YOU MIGHT HAVE LOST YOUR MIND, MORAL COMPASS AND REASON TO EXIST Labour

You'll notice that there are certain demographics in society - the poor, immigrants, disabled people - who we are constantly told live on easy street with the government lavishing them with riches, and even after decades of policy designed to stop this, still have it way too good.

The Daily Telegraph doesn't seem to publish circulation figures and hasn't since 2019; however based on the decline in newspapers generally, it's circulation now is estimated at 150,000. Which is already lower than Green Party membership!

I have half an hour before my next interview so I'm going to sketch out what I find an important problem with the fashionable division of immigrants into "net contributors" and "net recipients" of government spending. 1/10

Sunder Katwala (sundersays)@sundersays.bsky.social

The argument of Lam, Philp and Badenoch would be "tell the net contributors they can stay & tell the others we are v sad to kick them out" Maybe they would have retreated just on pragmatic reciprocity, though Lam is willing to forget about that in what she says here about her mass expulsion plans

@tedcruz Are you a serious politician or a racist 6 year old?

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

Ted Cruz just posted a video montage with photos of every Democratic senator altered to make them wear sombreros and mustaches. It’s set to the song Macarena. What the fuck are we doing here?

Bessent on why US troops won't get involved in defending Europe: "As I told my European counterparts about two weeks ago, 'All I hear from you is that Putin wants to march into Warsaw. The one thing I'm sure of is that Putin isn't marching into Boston.'"

The only country to ever initiate Article 5 of the NATO treaty won't do anything if the Russians attack European members? Not sure this individual has the first idea about anything, he's just another Trumpian fool.

I've written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage, urging them to join me in condemning Elon Musk's dangerous remarks inciting violence yesterday. As leaders, we must stand together and make clear Musk will face serious consequences for these actions.

A couple of days after Belarus sent Russian drones flying into Poland, the US lifted sanctions on Belarusian airline Belavia. It was announced by US Deputy Special Envoy for Ukraine John Cole during a meeting with President Lukashenko in Minsk.

On July 14, 2025, Trump declared that he would levy 100% tariffs and secondary sanctions on countries that continued to buy Russian oil if Putin failed to agree to a ceasefire within 10-12 days. Putin didn't. Trump hasn't.

Downing Street says of Palestine Action “this is a violent organisation that has committed violence, significant injury, extensive criminal damage”. Palestine Action says it is non-violent. I found no evidence of advocating violence & just 1 minor charge of assault. Who’s right? Are they terrorists?

Arresting 400+ people for the "terrorist" offence of protesting against mass murder while large segments of the right are openly encouraging riots against immigrants is a tale of a very unhappy country and government.
