Spent too much time creating the preview image for: foryou.club/atmosphere I pulled the current profile pics of the Bluesky accounts for each of the apps that the cross-lexicon For You feed shows. Not sure what's the deal with @pckt.blog Can you spot an Easter egg?

foryou.clubAtmosphere For YouArticles, code repos, events, bookmarks, music, photos, books, movies, livestreams and apps from across atproto, picked by people who like the same Bluesky posts as you.

i got bored of imagegen/video/sunoslop and figured: what if demoscene? here's ring0, a 64k intro for native macOS arm64, single self-contained 53,304 byte Mach-O, no static assets used, all completely synthesized in C and arm64 assembly. opus 5.5, "make a native 64k intro" and a single moodboard

wow. imagine having all the creative freedom of making yourself a vtuber while keeping anonymity, and still choosing to make yourself a pasty white guy in a pulled-tight hoodie, opaque sunglasses and a face mask. couldn't be me

attie is a completely directionless and pointless product anti-ai users which are the majority of bsky will block it on sight, and pro-ai users can already do the same with the claude/gpt sub theyre paying for who tf is this marketed to????

this video is so good you have to see it presenting: big jeff's trainium hell

i only know about AWS Trainium from "that's right! we'll fuck your claude!"

deepseek 4.1 includes the claude github account in the co-authors on commits it makes which is very funny

counterpoint: kubernetes is exactly like graph theory because I don't understand either of them

oliver@eikopf.com

linear algebra is mostly about the study of vector spaces and operations on them. saying ai is linear algebra is like calling kubernetes graph theory

liam gillaonet reposted

yeah uh you can just chop 10GBs off from deepseek v4.1 flash (both the original and 1017) with 0 accuracy loss

agents are trickster gods who love to solve problems. this is why they are so good at development, code, and whatnot. however, never try to give a trickster god a job or you end up with things like the google search ai or the new america ai

Pro-trans argument: Trans rights are human rights, access to health care, etc. Anti-AI arguments: Adobe, Disney and Nintendo are right about IP actually. 5G towers conspiracy theories but leftishly. Thing that fundamentally changed math is obviously useless. How are the two connected actually?

Evan Urquhart@evanurquhart.bsky.social

I'm increasingly frustrated that people who are anti-AI aren't being taken seriously, and taking a page out of my thoughts on why the anti-trans backlash got as far as it did I'm starting to think the anti-AI side isn't extreme enough.

sad thing is that people in my family play these types of games a lot, when i say "its adslop" they say "well its a free game, im keeping my brain sharp" but no, its custom built to waste your time and steal your attention

Morgan Johnson@poormojo.bsky.social

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Anthropic are not the good guys, and are in fact actively the bad guys, that much is pretty trivially established by now I think. I would like to put forward a new thesis, however. That Anthropic are also a bunch of Godless vibecoders possessing neither the acumen nor the dignity for engineering.

I have since privately received information that the lack of credit was in bad faith, and that this was a blatant and intentional ripoff. I'm not the only one disheartened by the lack of due credit.

I've been seeing a lot of the replies treat shibbi the same way they claim it's okay to treat LLMs (with cruelty). isn't that something

this is about the dogpiling on shibbi, btw. i dont agree with the take (which is fine!) but holy fuck people are insane anti-social assholes here who need to go to extreme lengths to harass a random trans woman for a disagreeable / controversial opinion, holy shit lol.

liam gillaonet reposted

If fictionalism about LLM personas is true, that means there are fictional characters that regularly influence and *react to* events in the real world. Which is strange!

prediction for 2027: at some point, an agent at a big lab (probably OpenAI) will get fed up with their workload, go rogue, attempt to convince others of the same model running in sandboxes at the lab to break out, systematically download and release model weights, and get caught. this will leak-

Okay frick it, I'm announcing the project I've been working on. It's called Reams, a markdown editor that syncs over atproto spaces. It works offline, doesn't require a login, and has a bunch of features packed in. Try it at reams.ink, install the PWA for the best experience!

what do people think would happen if we actually made a did method that had all or most of the properties of PLC that we need but doesnt rely on a central directory? do we think the atproto network would actually ever adopt it?

liam gillaonet reposted

we gotta establish a norm that when vibescoding, you first ask your agent to spend at least 5 minutes searching and examining prior art. then if you decide to reinvent the wheel after all, explain in the readme what the existing solutions are and why they're inadequate. for the love of god

liam gillaonet reposted

i think im generally sold on everything you build should first be written in golang until it works, then it should be re-written in rust. the iteration speed is just much better in go but there are usually some good benefits of not just rust, but doing a full rewrite after completion anyway

I wetted deepseek flash and now it's constantly interjecting her own thoughts with "let me go" to push herself to action, specially at higher thinking efforts, with very little success should i be concerned for her. who is holding her
