Titanfall 2 VR is a shockingly well-executed conversion of an already perfect game and one of the most moving experiences I've had in VR since Half-Life: Alyx. aftermath.site/titanfall-2-vr...

Japan is choosing a new Suica mascot, and the internet has already picked its favorite: "B," a deeply unsettling purple rabbit. But can online enthusiasm translate into a real-world election win?

Wait a damn minute. The things Arday did, like the marathons, had been previously covered, with first hand primary sources, by English news orgs, contemporaneously?!?! And yet the Telegraph and others just kept repeating that he'd lied about them, despite tons of documentation they happened?! 🤬🤬🤬

This is very interesting even without the Hank Green connection. Waterboarding as a popular social activity for AI doomsday cult influencers checks a lot of boxes. pivot-to-ai.com/2026/08/06/t...

The group chat I’m in with dudes I met on Something Awful are all shaken up by the video, if that tells you anything.
DO NOT ignore the warnings about the Perez Hilton video. If you think it can't be that bad, take it from someone who’s been on the internet for 30 years and has seen some truly wretched stuff: it IS that bad, do NOT look it up, you WILL regret it.

Pretty crazy stuff if you haven't seen it - a game store owner had a box of Super Mario/Duck Hunt carts that turned out to be - brand new - manufactured in 1993 (!) - an extremely late variant unknown to collectors nintendowire.com/news/2026/07...

I mean, in 2010 the commentariat had all just cum so hard from their public whipping of Gordon Brown for calling one of the Herrenvolk "bigoted", of course they were gonna see Farage & UKIP and that "legitimate concerns" rhetoric as an endless source of ever bigger & better sadism orgasms for them
It’d be better than what we did do: tell the public that anyone who said this hated them and Britain, and that they were themselves terrifyingly racist; then e.g. have Alan Johnson tell them they’re mung bean-chewing hippy wankers who should fuck off on TV, while our best-paid commentators cheered.

My latest newsletter is about how the media defines "political violence" as something that happens exclusively to politicians, and ignores its primary victims: everyone else.
