Thats right, were the only pizzeria in Brooklyn to cook your entire pizza using a Microwave! Thats right, we think that yelp and google correctly listing that we cook pizzas with our microwave Is Political!

If I know you, I have a lightly used RTX 4090 for sale, way cheaper than eBay. 😀

In 2005, Time Magazine did a cover story on “The Battle Over Gay Teens.” It’s the same handwringing we see now from “concerned” adults on behalf of young people. “Kids are disclosing their homosexuality with unprecedented regularity–and they are doing so much younger.” time.com/archive/6596...

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

found out that my mother in law decided she was aggressively pro trans rights literally by going, I don't know anything about this but everyone who is against trans rights is also against free school lunch, the issue I know and care a lot about, so this must be the correct way to feel about this

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

🚨 Rapid Response: Plex Media Server RCE chain is being actively exploited. Censys ARC sees ~340,000 Internet-exposed; ~30% run vulnerable builds. Fewer than 2% of still-vulnerable hosts patched in 3 days after exploit publication. https://bit.ly/4dMS1SJ

Valve should increase the fee to publish AI-using games on Steam to $5000, then put all of the the extra fee money into some sort of fund for non-AI indie game projects to apply for. It'd piss off Tim an unimaginable amount, and probably stop most AI games from listing on Steam.

The United States is actively helping Putin murder civilians in Ukraine. Trump is doing everything he can to force Ukraine to surrender to his friend and ally Putin so they can be subjugated by the Russians again.

I bought frozen burritos online for way too much money (for frozen burritos), and now that I've tried them, I'm upset that I think they were worth it. 😠

when I talk about ad-blocking being non-negotiable and ad networks basically running untrusted code in your browser, I have tended to assume I'm being a little bit hyperbolic, but

New this morning: @citizenlab.ca has identified an Israeli ad tech company — one that's placed ads on NBC News — that ran a secret side platform to let spyware companies plant malicious code to hack people browsing those sites. 45 Al Jazeera employees and journalists were infected!

I _do not_ understand the economics of releasing a Bon Jovi themed pinball machine for $12,000 USD in 2026, but apparently it's almost sold-out of its run, so congratulations to the manufacturer "Barrels Of Fun"!

The state of Pokemon cards in 2026 seems to be that you can't buy them, unless you can buy from scalpers for $$$, or enter raffles at stores for an opportunity to only pay MSRP. I don't _think_ that's part of intended scarcity for trading cards, but it sure sucks for everyone but scalpers.

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Again, the last public execution in the U.S. was in 1936. It's hard to wrap your head around what we're currently accelerating toward.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead
