ive talked on how i wont engage with writers who use ai, i wont eat at a restaurant with an ai menu, i wont have anything to do with it. but what this post illustrates is regardless of how OTHERS react, ultimately the worst part about using ai is that you are punishing YOURSELF and dont even know it

Ganondorf is not an "interesting" villain, in that he has no motivation besides power and no scruples or mixed allegiances. But he is undeniably cunty.

Nintendo of America [Twitter/X Mirror]@nintendoamericax.bsky.social

The evil Ganondorf is scheming to steal the mythical Triforce from the Sacred Realm and take over the world. Take up your sword, become the Hero of Time, and save the Kingdom of Hyrule in The Legend of #Zelda: #OcarinaOfTime, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 on Nov 5.

Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.

Jake Grumbach@jakemgrumbach.bsky.social

We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Matthew reposted

Do they even understand how much they’re pissing people off by doing this. Whatever research that convinces them that spamming everyone is all upside is bullshit. It is like they’d rather have all my contact info to sell to other campaigns forever than receive my donation. It sucks.

AdrianR@arafael.bsky.social

I gave AOC a recurring donation and it’s a nightmare in my emails and texts and i don’t even know who half the candidates are

You can't hold me accountable for not anticipating the bad thing that happened just because I was actively ignoring all the people who told me it would happen.

Chuck Schumer — one of the most powerful Democrats in the country — has not issued statements to the press or through his social media channels about the administration’s attack on Ilhan Omar, which critics have described as a five alarm fire for the state of democracy in the U.S.

Ossoff is acting like Trump/MAGA/GOP and what they’ve done to the country is Actually Bad. Charismatic and well spoken, which sure helps. But no “my friends across the aisle,” no acting like the imaginary “Baileys” are the only ones who matter, no “don’t talk values, only kitchen table.” That’s it.

Bill McKibben@billmckibben.bsky.social

Figuring out why Ossoff is so effective is an interesting task. I think he's mastering a kind of stern dignity that is uniquely compelling in contrast to the clownish cruelty of the other side. I think the other person who's kind of hit on the same thing is AOC, though in a different register

I think I have purchased more books in the last two months than I have read all year. "If you buy it, the habit will come." I'm always saying this.

Truly incredible that this is how the media is choosing to eulogize the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House in US history, who was a serial sexual abuser of children. For all the talk about "deep state" plots to abuse children, no one even remembers this case.

America today is a country where regulators won't allow private companies to air interviews of the opposition on TV, but declare that taxpayer funded propaganda is fine.

I'm getting mine one day apart from each other, so the question is: will the side effects be reduced? Or just spread out over more days? Let's find out together!

This post is unavailable.

This is not a recommendation to spread out vaccines. I just got one from a flu shot clinic today and the other at an appointment tomorrow.

You are not prepared over what piece of culture this poster is claiming is a mental health problem to appreciate.

I thought big dumb hat day was in may?

Feels criminal to leave out Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy X, KOTOR, and Super Mario World. But there's only room for nine, and choices must be made.

When will the people who argued in April 2025 that Democrats should stay silent on immigration own up to being frankly just disastrously wrong about the politics of mass deportations? Their punditry basically bordered on enablement

Phil Lewis@phillewis.bsky.social

Florida GOP Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar to Trump: "Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far ... The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today"

Talarico throwing trans kids under the bus isn't going to save him from the attack ads. There's no upside, and you just hurt people. On the other hand: is it smart for the GOP to run the same tagline as Trump 2024 at a time when people feel duped by the administration?

Just did a quick look around and I don't see very many headlines about the President of the US making people pledge allegiance to him personally while telling everyone to commit election fraud and "cheat like hell" to support his party. Seems like it should be a story?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way - I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell..."

THE PREMISE IS THAT THE MUPPETS ARE PUTTING ON A SHOW CALLED THE MUPPET SHOW

There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival. Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on. (Source: Deadline)

There have been 11 new Kirby games announced since Super Mario Odyssey was released in October 2017. We are dying, Nintendo.
