Well said. How many of Tommy Robinson’s Sport’s Direct paramilitary division go and help or worship at the churches they claim they want to protect. It’s much easier to don a balaclava and shout at the RNLI. #HopeNotHate

Had a great afternoon getting Sagal's message of hope out across Holborn & St Pancras. For an MP that is one of Camden's own, who will hold Thames Water to account, open up opportunities for local children and work to end rough sleeping, back Sagal and vote Labour tomorrow.

Can’t wait for Mick Herron to bring together the Danny Tommo A-plot and the RAF Fairford B-plot in an unexpected but satisfying way.

"The Bank of England was set up by Tony Blair" It's easy to forget that Tony Blair had been in power since 1694 when the Bank of England was founded. Good job Brain of Britain Liz Truss is here to remind us.

Emily Sheffield is a prime example of how background and connections in the UK get you to places your talent and ability never would. There is no way she'd have done what she has if she'd not been the daughter of a baronet and the step-daughter of a viscount. Editor of the Evening Standard FFS!!

Property "guru" Samuel Leeds sells expensive property-investment courses. Andrew Burgess ran a Facebook group where people discussed the courses. Leeds sued him for £millions. The case was dismissed - but Andrew still faces huge costs. Welcome to English libel law.

It's driving me insane. The govt spends £1.4 trillion a year. Borrowing estimates are often by tens of billions over a year. But we're supposed to imagine money is budgeted to the last penny.

Christ almighty. The British obsession with itemized “pay fors” for everything is insane. This is just really not how fiscal policy or government works anywhere functional.

Bad news I think that Hilary Benn is leaving Northern Ireland. NI is in a mess at the moment (no budget etc); Benn got to know it well in opposition and built good relations with the Irish government.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there an inherent problem with a politician hoping to be the next PM shilling for a gold bullion company? As I understand it, gold tends to do well when the economy is in the toilet and PM Farage would want the economy to do well no?

A shirtless white man, in the street with a knife in his hand, having attacked and wounded five people, allegedly shouting anti-Muslim slogans is the sixth story on the BBC UK news page. There is absolutely no doubt at all this would be the lead story if attacker and intended victims were reversed.

Politico: The Times "has added a note to its story that claimed Ed Miliband had been “ghosting” Starmer as relations between the pair frayed." "The correction said a call at the center of the story was 'rescheduled by mutual agreement' because [Miliband] was on bereavement leave" after his mum died

Any last hold-outs who still think the BBC News website operation is not actiuvely producing anti-Labour clickbait? On the left the framing. On the right what actually happened. Basically some council-level idiot tried to influence the internal party ***candidate selection***.

Jessica is right. This is just about the most sickening case I’ve ever heard of.

Surprised there is not more government reaction to the horrific killing of Preston Davey, while clearly the fault of the vilest individuals but also the worst list I have ever seen of state failures at every level. There is no sense yet even at a local level that systems will change to respond

If you have been using X over the last year, you are likely to have seen claims that rent boys were behind the arson attacks on Keir Starmer's former homes and car We charted how the *completely false* conspiracy theory spread from far right 'patriots' and conspiracists inews.co.uk/news/starmer...

inews.co.ukStarmer was targeted by sex worker conspiracy straight from Putin's playbookIt was a conspiracy shared by a handful of social media accounts and ultimately ended up in Russian state media
