You should not vote for fascism because fascism is evil. But also, you should not vote for fascism because fascism is stupid.

Avowed’s camp system doesn’t receive enough attention for how reactive it is to in-game events or how it allows for meaningful (and humorous) interactions between companions. 🏕️ The use of long running plot threads helps establish the idea that the companions have a life *beyond* the gameplay loop.

Imagine in any sane world where the leader of a nation says it's okay if 2 of it's major cities gets destroyed and millions of lives lost, but it's fine, because it's a "small price to pay."

Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

I still think about the conversation I had with an uber driver Him: so what do you do Me: I’m a video game writer Him: wait, video games? They have writing? What do you write? Me: you know when you open up a game and you see the words? Him: yeah? Me: those

The funniest/saddest reaction to this amazing article has been people going "wait, Stellaris has WRITERS?" Yes folks, if a game has words... someone probably got paid to write them... even if that game isn't an RPG or a visual novel...

I honestly have never considered switching from Google Pixel phones until they sent me a "wanna celebrate destroying the lives of trans people" as a system update.

As part of boot camp, Alpha School students apparently have their heart rates monitored as they watch recorded videos of their parents critiquing them. This activity takes place in front of their classmates, and students must keep their heart rates within 10 percent of their baseline to pass.

Also “summary execution” is not the penalty for drug trafficking even if some of them were.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it. This is a danger to us all.
