Depressing to hear the BBC propagating the non-story started by the Tories about the possibility of power cuts because of renewables A classic fossil fuel lie being given credibility by our public service broadcaster #BBCR4Today

Coverage of the troubled relationship between the King and his youngest son dominates front pages at the expense of 43,000, mostly needless, deaths. Hancock and Johnson should be in prison.

One of the pears went into a tray bake with gnocchi, peppers, onions, tomatoes, feta and walnuts. Interesting addition. Most of the apples went in an apple crumble but the sweet/tart balance is not quite there. Maybe add a bit of lemon juice next time as we don't have any Bramley's in the garden?

Agricultural destruction is an active part of ethnic cleansing which is a crime against humanity. No country doing this deserves the support of any other country.

Days before the Palestinian olive harvest, the Israeli military bulldozed, uprooted and torched thousands of fruit-bearing trees in the Occupied West Bank. Olive orchards account for more than 8% of the West Bank’s GDP and provide more than 60,000 jobs.

Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, their land will be occupied, their leaders will be killed, their history and language will be erased, their children will be kidnapped to serve Russia.

A serious democratic society simply cannot allow this. That's Β£72 million from just two men. (Both, until lately, based overseas). The average UK earner (full-time) would have to work for over 1,800 years to raise that much. It's a nuclear strike on any pretence at the equality of political power

Harborne has given Reform Β£36 million to match Delo's Β£36 million. The Telegraph describes it as a "show of force" from Reform's donors. The two men's Β£72 million is greater than all of the spending by all political parties on the 2024 GE www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/202...

β€œEvil, I think, is the absence of empathy.” These words weren't spoken by a modern activist. They were written by Gustave Gilbert, the American military psychologist who spent months interviewing Nazi war criminals during the Nuremberg Trials. Let’s look at a dangerous pattern.οΏΌ

Many years ago I thought mixing cream into a setting strawberry jelly would make a nice creamy desert for the then toddlers. And meat-baby was born. For the same toddlers 17th birthday, they’ve asked that I make another one…

Stripping EU citizens of pre-settled status years later claiming administrative error is legally dubious and morally bankrupt. Threatening NHS workers and residents who built lives in good faith undermines trust entirely. Are we underestimating this hostility? πŸ›οΈ #Brexit

Crumbling infrastructure & lack of water jeopardising govt plans for new homes. Privatisation of England's water prioritised shareholder returns. No new reservoirs, desalination plants, or national grid of water. Companies don't do national planning. Yet govts intoxicated with privatisation

Interesting statement from Avon & Somerset police about how not only did Zack Polanski not commit an offence in posting a pic of a man in a T-shirt showing a guillotine and a reference to Nigel Farage, but that the "satirical" T-shirt was itself also not an offence.
