Net Zero Dads are now Prepper Dads and realising that their newly-installed heat pumps will not function in the event of grid failure. Something something UK Government policy. Time for a new article @duncanrobinson.bsky.social?

It is truly something the degree to which most American media industries have largely self-immolated on grounds of making their core product too expensive to produce*. The film industry has started to find a way out of this mess. I hope TV and games are not far behind.
BREAKING: Electronic Arts is cutting 400 jobs and shutting down BioWare, the legendary development studio behind Dragon Age and Mass Effect. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

"The early days of Andy Burnham’s government have made Starmer’s look positively energetic: a PM who usually loves nothing more than being on camera has studiously avoided saying a word as he loses control of law and order in Britain, and his home secretary seems determined to appease the thugs."

This is something you cannot repeat enough: what makes America so much more unequal than European countries isn't the wealth held by billionaires (Europe has those too). It is the wealth held by the upper echelon of the professional classes. Lawyers, doctors, even some journalists...
"These billionaires’ total estimated wealth is $8.4 trillion...An enormous number, but it’s less than five percent of total U.S. household wealth. By comparison, households in the 90th to 99th percentile of wealth (from $2 million to $11.5 million) have total wealth of $63.2 trillion! "

This is completely on Andy Burnham Last week Labour could have stopped this. Now we have a single person giving more money than the entire general election spending limit for a political party www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/202...
