I really like this bit from the TV show Pantheon - kinda sorta talking about A1: "Unfortunately, I and the others like me cannot be trusted with this power. We are not ghosts. We are not aliens. We are not machines. We are not gods. We are you."

I did not vote for this. I do not want this. #SaveTheOrcas 💔 The extinction of the southern resident orcas could now have a name and a price tag: ‘Pacific Link’ for $44 billion of mostly taxpayer money,” Wilderness Committee’s conservation and policy campaigner Lucero Gonzalez said in a statement.

Half a million West Bank invaders, nearly all white Jewish, are entitled to vote in tomorrow's election, while the 3.5 million Palestinians residents there, nearly all Arab, are not. This is exactly, definitionally, apartheid.

There’s no such thing as a deal with malignant lairs, cheaters and corrupt criminals. Trump’s USA has shown that over and over. The world needs to stop pretending otherwise.

Just Talking Sh*t 🌈🇦🇺@orallyexpulsive.bsky.social

As an Aussie, I can recommend mandatory voting 👌 It's not perfect, but it's a damn sight better than optional voting. One big benefit is it encourages plotical parties to be less extreme in their policies as they don't need to appeal to the nuts on the fringes who are most likely to vote.

We've known about this since the 1960s or earlier. And now the oil industry's billion dollar propaganda campaign has convinced a lot of people that the risks of climate change aren't worth worrying about.

The future we've feared is already here. In a new report, researchers detail how grim the climate crisis has become in 2026, and how Earth's climate system continues to plunge farther and faster into terrible new territory. www.sciencealert.com/global-warmi...

Environment and Climate Change Canada using tax dollars to promote fossil fuel expansion, such as that depicted in this sponsored ad, is full throttle sociopathic. It's like Health Canada choosing to actively promote putting rat poison in your lunch.

Hey Alberta: is this incompetence or a full on intentional lie? 9003 Acute Care Spaces is NOWHERE near a record number for our prov In the late 1980s we had 17,790 acute care spaces in hospitals (~12,000 acute care beds, +LTC beds) 1988: 7.4 beds/1000 2026: 1.5 beds/1000 1/2

An absolute must-watch if you haven’t seen it yet.

This week’s main story is about how more and more white nationalists, antisemites, and Nazi sympathizers seem to be integrating into the Republican Party, how some of them are currently running for office, and how old you can be for JD Vance to consider you “a very young boy.”

I don't know that there is a definitive line to cross that makes you say, "I live in a police state now" but when masked gunmen can routinely brutalize the public, citizen or immigrant alike, with impunity, you have reached that point.

So they are playing the " We're not evil, we're just really incompetent" card again. They've done this quite a few times before. Do we still believe them Alberta? I mean C'mon. ...and even if you do, why should we accept that level of uselessness from a leader? ( she is evil though)

One of my big frustrations with David Eby is he cancelled a highly effective, partially revenue neutral carbon tax just because the feds did so (Québec didn’t), leaving a big hole in our provincial finances, only to be annihilated in an unnecessary election 1.5 years later. Excellent legacy.
