Reporter Jason Collins chatted with Games Done Quick organizers and runners to learn what makes GD Queer so special: "Every time donations crossed a $1,000 milestone that first weekend, the stream flooded with the same two words: I'm gay."

shutting down frat houses won't end rape culture, but it will disorganize a lot of rapists, and i think that's probably worth doing if only to destabilize what is apparently an ecology of organizations that functionally exist to rape women per the whole "purpose of a system is what it does" insight.

You know, honestly, more than monetary donations, if somebody worked at a company that had access to a lot of 18 terabyte and larger hard drives and could talk to us, that's where we are really suffering. The internet archive has no special priority in buying hard drives and those things are insane.
The ongoing 429 errors are due to a variety of infrastructure issues and repairs being done on Wayback. Sorry, folks

There's a critical medical blood shortage currently (especially of type O, which some places have less than a day's supply of). All blood types are currently needed to stabilize the supply, if you're able to give today or tomorrow, you will be directly saving lives! www.redcross.org/give-blood.h...

This is literally why there's a bipartisan effort to remove internet access from young people. It's an attack on queer people, leftists, and anyone who questions authority. They don't want our children finding out that MLK and Frida Kahlo were socialists or that Stonewall was a riot.
Having social media access made growing up gay 1 million times easier (I don’t think I would even know I was gay as a teen if it weren’t for social media), but it also made growing up progressive and informed possible. Social media was where I learned about abortion rights, for starters

At least 104 Democrats vote yea to pass HR 7757. The bill passes 267-117. It now moves to the Senate, which is out until July 13th. Will post the roll call of who voted what way once it is uploaded.
Heads up for next week: the House will be debating and voting on HR 7757, the KIDS Act, which contains a revised version of KOSA. What's more terrifying is this bill is listed in the batch of bills to be brought up on Monday, which means the GOP doesn't expect much opposition to it passing.
