To not recall the talent, the personality, and the sheer joy she Susanna Hoffs radiated is a tragedy for Michael J Fox. I am sure somewhere in his core there is a memory that will resurface.

Tragic is that 30 to 40% of patients with Parkinson disease develop a dementia, but that doesn't seem to be the fact with Michael J. Fox, who is still since 1988 happily married to Tracy Pollan, so there is no tragedy. He talked about memory loss due to parkinson but also his "fast" lifestyle then.

Susanna Hoffs was and still is an awesome human being on multiple levels, so yes that would be very tragic for him.

A couple things. One, my eldest cousin died after a long battle with it, and there IS a greater personal tragedy. End stage Parkinson's is awful. Second, memory loss happens. I dated this lovely woman in the 90s for several months. We had a great time. What's her name? I couldn't tell you...

Losing that memory would sting quite a bit.

I have aphantasia (no mental visualization) and and my memory is really bad... it's called SDAM (severely deficient autobiographical memory). I remember important people, but if I'd only dated someone a few times I could easily forget it. I'd imagine he has more pressing challenges with Parkinson. 💔

True, she is amazing to this day. Once I woke up to a bunch of empty Reese's cup wrappers and no memory of the actual eating, i was that high. The fact that I bring it up shows I'm still not over it.
