Those who do care have been frustrated about that for centuries! How many people ANYWHERE care about 'equality' besides the people who don't have it in their society? Not many! I am not really sure whether we could call him a "recovering" addict. How would we even know if he was still using? Some people stop using a drug (such as heroin, or alcohol) but never actually enter the process of recovery. He seems like one of the latter, to me.

That, unfortunately, is STILL the case, even with the DEI. Far more women die with a 1st heart attack than men do but there's barely any U.S. funding allotted to finding out why that is or how to prevent it. My mother survived 4 of them & maybe it helped her that all her doctors were foreigners!
